About this listen

Follow law enforcement's two-year inquest into Prince's death, from the first 911 call through present day.

Authored by an independent observer with extensive journalism experience, the book includes interviews with family, friends, current and former staffers, doctors, and fellow musicians. The research involved browsing through thousands of official documents, images, videos, audio recordings and lab reports. No hearsay. No anonymous sources. No theories or conspiracies. Welcome to the investigation.

it's sad how people enabled Prince's addiction. Hopefully we learn. He is still the absolute best ever. I miss him.

A very telling story.

The narrator did a phenomenal job with this book. That and the content were exceptional. Very informative. I was left angry and sad. It is a long listen but I was never bored.

Very interesting, highly detailed description of the investigation into prince's death. Like having a bird's eye view of the whole scene. Highly recommend for true crime fanatics or anyone looking for more insight into this mysterious death. It's ironic that someone who guarded his privacy to such an extreme extent ended up having his life examined so thoroughly in death but..thats what happens when you overdose. I imagine the negative reviews might be from people inside his circle attempting to guard the remnants of his privacy

Fascinating

It was an interesting listen and so indicative of the times we live in. Prince was a complex individual who was obviously way too trusting of others.

Well researched, didn't love the narrator's voice

It’s great to have someone read all this info rather than go over the documents yourself.
Of course the narrator could of been much better. Mispronouncing Princes first wife’s name shows he isn’t much a fan. While I don’t think you have to be a fan or even like the material you read as a narrator, it’s distracting at points with his breathy delivery.
But the information provided made up for the narrator.

Great information

I enjoyed every chapter of this book , it brought clarity and insight as to exactly what a Prince fan since day one needed.

Excellent Read

Loved the book. A lot of insight, although it saddens me that someone, or several someones, enabled him literally to death. Someone on his team knows something. So sad he died all alone, and such irony that he was found by someone that was there to help him into recovery. Heartbreaking.

Tragic Story

informative and sad.one...huge issue. the pronouncing of princess ex wife mayte. it's pronounced like "my-tae" or "my-tea" not hard to find the correct pronunciation...just sayin

I was left feeling very skeptical about the accuracy of the data. The names of 2 main characters in Prince's past had their names repeatedly mispronounced.
Add that to a couple of incorrect usages of the English language and all I can say is "disappointing".
If you can't successfully complete the due diligence on the "common knowledge" items, how am I supposed to believe you were careful with details?

Accurate?

I Cringed this is awful and many things were repeated to make the book longer I felt nauseated listening to the first few chapters.I wish I had not listen to it.

I didn’t enjoy this book
