A must read for the new tech generation

The content tends to be extremely dry, but the learnings within are invaluable to building or revamping a technology driven business.

Excellent ”Listen”

Great second edition with tons of reference-able material. Would appreciate broader coverage of service restoration in the next edition.

A bit long, but great info

Some, or more accurately too much, of this book is spent on background and basics, but that isn’t a terrible thing. This classic provides a great overview of DevOPS and many case studies. The book is a must if you don’t already have a modern DevOPS pipeline and processes.

Good but dense

It's a good overview of many best practices and approaches to software development.
I think they could have been more brave and criticized some bad practices more, to create some contrast, but it's already a long book.
No major complaints as I agree with most of the points, Although, I think you'd need some of the special internal Google tools to use a large mono-repo in practice. Or every developer would have to be very comfortable with rebasing and resolving conflicts with git.
The narrator mispronounced a few things a bit robotically, e.g. "configuration as cod" (code) and "GetOps" (GitOps) which was a bit strange...
