Afraid of waking the sleeping dragon of Raven's Ghyll, wizards have for centuries avoided waging war among themselves. But everything changes when someone steals the legendary Dragonheart, a magnificent opal pulsating with unspeakable power. This magical tour de force leaves listeners breathless - and clamoring for more.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend the entire series. I really enjoy that the main character shifts from book to book but they are still relevant in the next books.Any additional comments?
The narrator should not swallow so loudly into the microphone, it was very distracting. Editors should take more time to filter out or prevent background noise and lessen gaps between patches. This was an issue with the entire series.Editing issues

Now about the book, it is an exciting, and full of surprises, far better than many of the others out there that are getting so much hype. I strongly recommend this series to anyone adult or youth.
even better than the first

I was dissapointed, I thought that the author went too far in creating a desperate situation. Why would all the bad guys from all over the world come to wage war on the town, yet all the good guys think that it is not worth their time? What happened to all of the dragon's vast network? Why was there no mention of Peter or the other wizards who might be willing to help out? Because if the situation was not so desperate, Seph would not have to do stupid things to hold the sanctuary. I'd say 400 wizards against 5 children and an old man is desperate enough to give them some backup.
If purpose of this book was to tie together all the loose ends, it failed. It felt like it was thrown together at the last minute then sent to the printers without a decent editing job. It was not the worst I ever read, but there were holes in the plot, and the confict was not resolved to my satisfaction. Wizard Heir was much better.
