When 16-year-old Jack forgets to take his medicine one morning, he soon learns what the medicine is really for. It's a suppressant for his magical powers....He's a Warrior Heir. He soon finds out that his parents were waiting for his wizard to come and begin his training for a tournament to the death before they revealed the truth to him. If Jack wants to make it, he's going to need the help of friends - both magic and normal - and to learn to use his warrior powers and believe in himself.

Where does The Warrior Heir rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I read the books as a teen, and shared them with my girlfriend who loved it. We've heard this reader before and like him, but the editing is not super great, weird pauses. It was a lovely story, great voice, bad editting

What made the experience of listening to The Warrior Heir the most enjoyable?
The story was gripping. I hated to put my listening device down! Also, unlike many books I've listened to lately, there was a happy ending which topped off the experience nicely. What other book might you compare The Warrior Heir to and why?
I hate to compare things to Harry Potter, but it's the closest I can think of. There's more to the main character and his past than he is originally aware of, and fresh aspects of his past and destiny are revealed as the story progresses.Would you listen to another book narrated by Robert Ramirez?
Perhaps. He was a good narrator, but not as compelling to listen to as some others I've heard. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was particularly moved by the solution two of the main characters found to the difficult problem facing them. I can't say more without spoiling it for someone who hasn't read the book.Any additional comments?
I definitely recommend the book, even though I'm not giving it 5 stars. It's in the "I like it a lot" category, and I'm extremely picky about what I give 5 stars to.Best book I've read since Twilight and Harry Potte

My personal favorite was at a certain moment when you could hear a "What?!" in the background at the end of chapter 15 (no spoilers).
Overall, it's worth listening to unless you need perfect audio (comepletely understandable, you will be hearing it for hours).
Audio feels a bit dated, but didn't distract from story
