About this listen

It’s been 22 years since the dragon king shifters defeated the White Witch.

A new threat has emerged in Europe.

An evil queen rules the hidden dragons with an iron fist and few have escaped.

The escapees visit Obsidian and ask for his help overthrowing her.

Obsidian isn’t ready to fight another war, but when his seventeen-year-old son lands right in the middle of the evil queen's kingdom, he has no choice.

The next generation of Dragon Kings is emerging, but first they have to survive…

I loved the first five books in this series, but the books in boxset 2 were written as short stories, I believe, and the characters don't seem to be nearly as well developed, and the characters from the previous books seem to be just cardboard, cut outs of themselves. I will probably get the rest of the box sets hoping the writing and performance get better, but at the moment I am not hopeful.
Also I like Angela Rysk, as the performance artist, of the first 5 books much better than the Narrator of these books,
It's really not good to change narrators in the middle of a series.

Not nearly up to the level of the first five books
