About this listen

Working in secret, an acclaimed group of scientists has developed a radical new approach to modern medicine that could change everything we know about the human body and its limitations. But such knowledge does not come without risk. When their laboratory in Stockholm is attacked, it becomes clear that someone will stop at nothing to keep this research from reaching the masses. As more details come to light, Interpol director Nick Dial realizes that the bombing in Sweden has exposed a hidden collective of the world's greatest minds. What's more, this group has been operating in the shadows for more than a century. What have they learned during all that time? And why would someone want them dead? Jonathon Payne and David Jones soon find themselves drawn into the mystery. On a collision course with the man behind the massacre, the duo must follow the history of scientific discovery in order to stop a villain determined to use modern advancements to create his own vision of the future - a future where he alone controls who lives and dies. Bursting with action, suspense and humor, The Einstein Pursuit is Chris Kuzneski at his very best.

Action, humor&great story Thank You Chris Kuzneski!

Would you listen to The Einstein Pursuit again? Why?

Maybe if I didn't have a new book waiting to be read/listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

This was just a really good story! The premise is one that I don't think I've come across before in this context. Secret research facility, kidnapped scientists, can't say anymore or I'll give too much away.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

There was nothing about Dick Hill's performance not to like, he's one of the BEST (according to me).

Any additional comments?

Chris Kuzneski has just released three books in the Payne & Jones series that are all FIVE STAR books. Each has a unique story line and can be read as part of the series or as stand alones. These are the best of the series. Really good complex multilayered plots, plenty of action and some background history between the two protagonists is filled in along with some of Payne's personal history. He learned that his father was responsible for some financial backing of medical breakthroughs and had known some very impressive/important people. Again I don't want to give names because I don't want to spoil this for anyone. I highly recommend all three, they are worth the credits!

Where does Einstein come in to this?

What did you like best about The Einstein Pursuit? What did you like least?

I always like the Payne and Jones characters, but I found this story to be boring and tedious.

Would you be willing to try another book from Chris Kuzneski? Why or why not?

I have several of his books that I really like and will try another. Usually they are fast paced and fun adventures with two quirky lead characters I enjoy.

What three words best describe Dick Hill’s performance?

Mediocre, bombastic, unimaginative

Could you see The Einstein Pursuit being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No

Any additional comments?

I usually like the Payne and Jones series, but this one I found boring, predictable and the story line was just not interesting to me. I got about half way through and never came across anything that had to do with Einstein or physics, which is why I decided on this title. Basically it was unimaginative and something that has been "done to death" with a evil billionaire trying to halt a new discovery that would put his pharmaceutical empire out of business. I endure Dick Hill's narration in the other books I have of Chris Kuzneski's because the story are great. However a boring story and Dick Hill's poor narration (horrible at accents and women's voices) is just more than I can take. Thank goodness for Audible's return policy! Yes, I know it has many high reviews, but "reviews" are really only about opinions and opinions differ from person to person.

Disappointed.

Definitely not his best work. Lazy writing and nothing very interesting. Disappointed from beginning to end!

Excellent book, narrator is the best!

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and moves at a fast pace.
No need to fast forward on any of this book.
You just cannot get a better narrator than Dick Hill, every book, no matter the subject or type, that is read by Dick Hill has excellent narration. He does it all, voices, accents, pronunciation, you name it.
You will not be disappointed with this listen.

Chris Kuzneski is the International Best-selling author of many great and thrilling novels, full of action and suspense. He has at this point two very entertaining series. The first is called Payne and Jones while the second features The Hunters. Mr. Kuzneski self-published his first book was part of the Payne and Jones series, The Plantation and after that he released the blockbuster The Sign of the Cross, which became his first best-seller, and received dazzling reviews from all around the World. Now, The Einstein Pursuit is number 8 in the Payne and Jones Series, and yes, I listened to all of them with great pleasure, especially because of the continuing great performance given by Dick Hill.

The Einstein Pursuit opens with an explosion at a secret scientific laboratory in Stockholm, which claims a large number of lives. One of my old-time favorite characters, created by Chris, enters the scene as the Director of Interpol. His name is Nick Dial and he is called in from Paris, France, to help the investigation because all the scientists and researchers that lost their lives in the explosion were from different countries. He discovers that the explosion wasn’t an accident and he promises to discover the criminal behind the gruesome murders and to bring him to justice.

In Pittsburgh, United States, Jonathan Payne receives a call from Mattias Sahlberg, an ex employee of Payne Industries and an old friend of his fathers. The man claims that someone is trying to kill him and that only Payne can help. Jonathan calls his best friend, David Jones, and the intense and crazy action, specific to Chris’s books, begins!

What I really love about the way Chris writes is that he describes with a tour guide precision all the places we are visiting, throwing in some very interesting details and historical facts, combines real stuff with fiction and makes you believe it all. Payne and Jones are an unstoppable force, even more so when friends are in peril. The banter between the two them is hilarious at times and it always puts a smile at the corners of the readers lips.

I don’t want to spoil the story for you,so all that I’ll say is that you’ll enjoy The Einstein Pursuit if you’ve read any other of Chris’s books before or if you like good action and interesting mysteries, spiced with some science and a hateful villain. Mr. Kuzneski moves the story between his main characters, and the villains, with fluidity and brings all the plots together for a grand finale.

The audiobook version of The Einstein Pursuit is performed by Dick Hill, like all other previous books in this series, and as always, he brings the story to life! I really loved the way he plays with the multiple voices and accents. He gives special attention to Payne, Jones and Nick Dial. He relates news reports like a CNN correspondent, then, he delivers scientific facts and you think you are listening to a National Geographic documentary and when he describes the different vistas, you can imagine them, yes, that’s also because Chris Kuzneski has written them that way, but still, Dick brings all of this to life.

The Einstein Pursuit by Chris Kuzneski and performed by Dick Hill delivers all that I want and expect from the Thriller genre! After experiencing all the books released in this series, I can say, without a doubt, that this one is the best one yet.

Chris and Dick, THANK YOU for the Entertainment!
