About this listen

Politics, Central American cartels, federal fugitives, and 300 hostages.... That's just the beginning of Chase Fulton's newest assignment.

When an apparent eco-terrorist threatens to decimate the largest oil producer in the western hemisphere, tensions rise, hundreds of human lives are on the line, and fortunes lay in the balance. Chase and his covert ops team must pull off one of the most daring hostage rescue operations ever attempted, and it has to be done without making the evening news.

As the drama unfolds, the hostage situation is just the tip of the iceberg as Chase faces the possibility of losing the most important person in his life. Will he find answers to the storm of questions that threatens to rip his life apart, or will he fall prey to a mysterious watcher and a misguided federal officer who stand between him and all he holds dear?

From the unforgiving depths of the offshore oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico, to the Desert Southwest where greed meets guilt and evidence battles innocence, this installment of the Chase Fulton Novels series promises to deliver thrills, drama, and intrigue like never before.

I 2nd the Request to Get Rid of Penny!

I LOVE these books. Chase Fulton is an excellent character with a lot of complexities that are supported by a band of characters that round out the stories beautifully. I especially love the elements of the sailing catamaran.

BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Get rid of Penny. She is so annoying, whiny, & absolutely derails every scene she is in. I can't listen to her dialogue with Chase & have even fast forwarded through it. I find myself saying - ENOUGH ALREADY!

There are many ways that you can get rid of Penny - Maybe Anya can axe her & do us all a favor. Chase will be happier, I promise.

Enjoyed the suspense

The suspense was great and the details illuminated the expertise in covert operations. There was a bit too much explanation and transitions were a little jerky. Ending was funny but did not climax well.

I would read another book like this but if it’s the same or worse It would be the last.

Chasing My Butt

Nice fill in some blanks story. Why swap Hunter for Clark? They appear to be, except for age, interchangeable. Tina was a bit of a surprise, kinda. They whole mom and pop scenario seemed to be solely to provide a conduit for the Penny Chase drama. However the oil rig and rescue made more sense when the tie between the cartel and human trafficking connection was made. Hope POLAR makes more adult sense.

Please get rid of Penny!

Another great Chase Fulton book. My only real complaint with this book or series is the incessantly annoying Penny. Her scenes derail every book. Anya is one million times more interesting. I understand why Chase and Anya cannot be together right now but Penny is an annoying mess which should have been a one night stand for Chase. Please Mr. Daniels, blow Penny up or something.

looking for his wife

Not the usual story but showing that marriage is not easy and in that you wrote the harshness of a marriage

Good series

Enjoying the Chase series … however the only character I don’t enjoy is Chase. He is always loosing his temper, and consistently uses I, me, one never us Case’s centered ego ruins a perfectly good story

Excellent Series and More...

I have listened to all the books upto this point (book 10). And I will gladly give 5 stars to all except may be for one or two. Mr Daniels is very consistent in his credibility of the stories, strength of the characters and the fast pace writing style. Nothing lingers on and on...And I always look forward to whats next.

But the BEST of all is at the front; the Dedication section. I will buy the books just to hear his appreciation to the people who helped him along the way. He pours gratitute out.

That section alone is a self help book. Thats why I have said .... and more
