Received as an audio copy to review by the narrator, this is an honest review. Grant Love delivers a truly standout performance ( especially as the haunting serial killer at the heart of the story); as DI Claire Redding and her colleagues hunt down a heartless killer, claiming its victims in a very grisly fashion. And catching a killer is just one thing Claire Redding has to face... for an assassin has been tasked with taking Claire down with connected to dangerous people Claire has already has taken on. The consequences of this person's action have a gutting affect upon Claire, the man she deeply loved and a future they wanted to have.

Highly recommended.

This was such an intense gripping story right up to the very end, and now I need the follow up to this. Claire is like a machine. She doesn't know when to stop , and she's able to retain small details that are integral to the case. This was so compelling, that it kept me on the edge of my seat listening. Another great story by this author. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a sensational job bringing the characters and story to life. The different voices added depth to a great story. Well done. I highly recommend this book.

Tw: miscarriage DI Redding is back, dealing with a hammer-wielding psychopath and an unknown assassin. Cool heads and attention to detail allow Claire and her team to solve 3 murders, while remaining ignorant of a greater threat to Claire’s life.

Love a mystery, murder story I am not able to figure out!!! This One had me guessing and questioning myself throughout the story. Narrator does a Fantastic job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline. Highly recommend this book!
