Publisher's summary

Roz Gilmour is a happy woman with two children, a loving husband, a successful career as a local radio presenter and a comfortable home in North London. Sometimes she can't believe just how fortunate she is. But a woman who has everything has everything to lose, and Roz's luck is about to change...

Not everybody is as content as Roz Gilmour. There are people who dislike her—if only because of the apparent ease and success with which she lives her life. And one of them is insane. A fame-hungry stranger whom Roz has unwittingly snubbed. A man who is dangerously delusional and spiralling out of control. A man who will stop at nothing to get his revenge. Whatever it takes...

Caroline Graham in Her Best Style

As always in Caroline Graham's stories, we know the antagonist of the story early on and simply enjoy the writer leisurely unfold the story for the reader in a thoroughly enjoyable fashion (except for the more bloody scenes).

Sofia Engstrand does a fine job of narrating.

[This is NOT an Inspector Barnaby novel. If that is what you want, do NOT buy this book.]

No envy from this stranger

If you are expecting something similar to the author's Inspector Barnaby series in tone, plot, and quality of writing, you will be sorely disappointed. I suspect this is an earlier work from the author. It is not well written or narrated. The writing is choppy and the story is really boring. It is short on plot and sympathetic characters, and long on completely irrelevant details, especially about food and drapery fabric. Ugh, enough already. Roz's career path to radio show host makes no sense at all. She is pretentious and dismissive and completely unsympathetic.
