About this listen

An ancient malevolence that will threaten the very existence of the Great Ga’Hoole Tree has been loosed from the past. With his dying breath, Ezylryb tells Soren and Coryn to read the legends of Ga’Hoole hidden in his private library. There they find a world of treachery and magic in which a young king and queen struggle to keep peace while Grank, their most loyal friend and supporter, studies embers and flames in a distant land. Then a desperate plea comes from the king, and Grank rushes to the aid of his noble friends.

I liked everything about it!

I like that Grank wrote a whole book on his adventures and Coryn got to read it all out loud.

I liked that Grank helped save the prince’s egg.

I would recommend this book for everybody on the planet!

I would recommend the book for Stella, my friend.

It's an amazing story!

I love it! I was reading the series on paper but didn't have all the books, then found Audible. Audible works amazingly! The only thing I wish works is listen to books without internet.

A GREAT Prequel To The Best Book Series

Guardians Of Ga'Hoole #9: The First Collier is an amazing book for a plethora of reasons. First of all, the character development is pretty good. An example could be that Grank (the protagonist) is an owl who is interested in colliering and studying with his wolf friend but he receives a fatherly personality after he starts raising Siv's egg. Another reason why I love this book is that it includes some Siv scenes after she gave her egg away. This is because she gets a supportive polar bear friend that is pretty interesting for polar bear scenes in this series. Also, Siv scenes show that a parent would never be happy about losing a child. Finally, Theo is just a cool character. HE IS JUST HECKING COOL AND ADORBS TOWARDS GRANK.
