Amazing book

I love all the warrior cat books but this one is especially good since it really focuses on one character and you get to feel as though you are alderpaw throughout the story.

Love your narrator, but the voices have changed

I love Macleoud Andrews!! I have been listening to all the Warrior Cats books and they are the only audiobooks I will listen too because I love the narrator so much! But, the voices changed so much in these books! I was caught off guard, still loved it, but miss the old voices.

ehhh? I'm not sure what do i think about this book

(no spoil! you can read this review)
still an really intersting warrior story and i mostly like it. And thank god, i miss single pov so much in main series.

alderpaw is great pov, his self-doubt really work well in narrative of living in clan as apprentice. UNTIL they go on a 'journey'. why? dear erin, why!

yea, i love this book 10/10 until they decide to go on a 'journey', i would be wayy interested more about alderpaw learning to become medicine or event that happen IN THE LAKE AND DOESN'T HAVE TO "TRAVEL", im sure they could write it to be intersting, if they hadn't gone for 'journey' route.

with all that being said, after readding 'journey', what i felt is: "ehhh? all right i gusses" It still readable,
It's not that memorable. nothing compare to [into the wild], [midnight] that act as first book of the series. but at least it memorable more than [the sight].

I will give the review into 3 parts since i feel it have very different tone and theme.

before 'journey' 10/10: amazing. supper fun. really interesting and the pace is just perfect. i love read in clan politic, how they learn thing, how other cats act. it's just simply one of the best, alderpaw is genius, really intersting.

while 'journey'7.5/10: umm, it read able. but for me, the characters are no longer intersting. completely ruined. sparkpaw is no longer compelling like in first part. she is just another cat. 2 mentors is just... there, i dont feel about them like i did eariler, now? without in clan politic, they are just travel companion. this could be said about all of the cats. they are just another cats.. that additional she-cat? she actually "talk" to alderpaw, make she have character more than other who doesn't have their own opion.
but.. it just her! sparkpaw doesn't have any intersting character anymore other than repetitive, i have to listen to this she-cat alone, and listen to sandstorm too ofc. anyway, this part is all right, not that bad. still really readable. but wish they had just stay in camp and something happen around their territory instend.

after'waterfall'6.5/10 alderpaw is way too anxious, not much relateable, have stupidity that i wish he doesn't have like in first part of the book - go against anything i want him to do. like not eatting kittypet food?? dude since when did you are bold enough to act like no-kittypet/dustpelt?? hello??? he argue wtih she-cat compaion? which at this point. i perfer her over alderpaw. she is just that brave like fireheart. who just go stright into twoleg place, finding place. at this point i feel alderpaw is just follower.

until the untimalte bull____ kits. that last thing i want is cat with some kind of speicalness to them. this book have nothing like that, which is what made me drop power of there. it's because of so call "power" any hint to them, will make me want to stop reading. anddd the book just did just that. will the _____ kits. THEY JUST APPEAR??? no try to contact their guardian whatsoever pftttt.
well whatever i gusses

yea, pretty good book. im gonna go read Thunder and Shadow now. hope thing get better.
overall, a pretty fresh and intersting new series. my reddit username is pumegaming btw

im not a native enlish speaker. english is not my native language.
and i did not do any spell check, context correction since i write this in short amount of time.

to see why this got only 4 stars, read on

this was a good book. It had good villains, a few deaths, and an ongoing relationship between alderpaw and needlepaw (I still think they were more than friends). But the reason I gave this book 4 stars was that in a book about skyclan there WAS no skyclan. Good book though.

Sad ending good book

I love this LONG series and Macleod Andrew’s never disappoints me. The end made me cry and I think Tall’Star is a big mouse brain and I’m not kidding like mentally not okay he just likes to disagree with everything and is overall an annoying character.

I miss the old voices

The new voices feel very different from the originals, and it kinda ruins it. Especially Jayfeather. His voice makes him sound so much more like a jerk whereas before it was just grouchy Jayfeather. This new voice also sounds too much like Flametail’s, and that is a bit annoying. This book was pretty good, but the only thing I’d change is Jayfeather’s voice.
