I read lots of books that take place in the UK. So,.I have a question... Is there no self defense law? I mean, and this isn't a spoiler it's in the blurb why is it murder to kill someone in your home to kill you?
Pretty sure here in the US, one is allowed to kill a dangerous intruder. A woman alone seesa man in her home isn't she allowed to defend herself?
Other than than frustrating detail of the premise is excellent writing great narration too.

Fantastic. But....
