About the Creator and Performer

Carrie Seim is an actress, writer, and audiobook narrator. She's an alum of The Groundlings comedy theater and appeared on Inside Amy Schumer as well as in several animated series. She has performed her original work on NPR, E! TV, the Comedy Central Stage, Joe's Pub, UCB, and The Bell House. We loved the first Flying Flamingo Sisters book. And this adventure is even more exciting, funny and action-packed! Already listened to it 2x! Kids love it and really takes you to the time of famous aviators and bi-planes!

This is a great story for kids and adults, with fabulous characters from the Flying Flamingo Sisters to their sinister uncle Fredric who are dramatized brilliantly by the voice actors and accompanying foley sounds and music. As a parent I love the female protagonists, and my kids think it’s a hilarious story. The Great Depression setting adds an interesting historical element. We have read the first one multiple times and the sequel did not disappoint.

This is a book that the entire family can enjoy. My two littlest kids are totally obsessed with the Flying Flamingo Sisters. I hear them calling each other "Frangie" and "Frangelica" frequently, and my 5YO son often says to me, "Don't play coy with me!" in Uncle Friedrich's voice when I'm not giving him the answer he wants. Any book that is this entertaining and becomes a part of a family's culture so quickly and easily deserves five stars at the least! This is a great story and a great follow-up to the first FFS installment. We are anxiously awaiting a third story!

mom says: cute production for kids. a bit silly for parents but not too much so, would be a good family listen on a road trip, etc...mostly the same characters as the 1st story, as far as I could tell, all the voices are done by the same people.

Our family has listened and re-listened to this story and the first one multiple times (at least 5 each). The character voices, fantastical story and humor make this so good! My kids are 6 and 8.

Following the first one is pretty tricky but I think they pulled it off just perfectly. Story plot is amazing and usually my family doesn’t let me share my audiobooks in the car and stuff but with the flying flamingo sisters they were willing to repeat it over and over made me happy that they liked the second one so we can listen to something new and fresh!

I’ll be honest and say I didn’t expect to enjoy this audiobook as much as I did. The first audiobook was good but didn’t exactly wow me as much as this one. I recently saw this on my audible page as a recommendation. It was free and short so I thought why not give it a listen. I’m very glad I did because this was a pretty perfect middle grade listening experience for me. I love the introduction of new characters that “The 99” brought us. Elsie de la Rue is always a bright spot too. I would have been satisfied if this would have been the end of “The Flying Flamingo Sisters” adventures. It isn’t the end though, and I’m not sure where the story could go from here. I’m willing to find out though.
