A New York Times pick for "Best Audiobooks for Road Trips with Kids"
A New York Post featured book selection
Romper's top choice for "Best Audiobooks for the Whole Family"
This hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure will delight fans of The Goonies and Indiana Jones. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and some of the most talented voices on Broadway.
When their ace pilot parents (and adorable puppy) mysteriously disappear over the Pacific, the Flamingo Sisters - Flo, Faye, and Franny - escape the clutches of their evil Uncle Freidrich (who believes girls should never pilot aeroplanes) and join a flying circus. They soon become a smashing sensation, performing aerial acrobatics, wing walking, and other death-defying feats in a dazzling biplane outfitted with three cockpits.
But when the girls discover a mysterious map - which may lead them to the long-lost Flamingo family fortune - their dastardly uncle follows them on a thrilling chase in the skies. The Flying Flamingo Sisters must use wits, courage and derring - do to solve secret codes, trek through spooky jungles, and save their parents. Not to mention themselves!

Jessica Almasy is a writer, actress, producer, curator, and director, focusing primarily on the activism inherent in the development of new works. A two-time recipient of an Audie Award, as well as a Golden Voice and Golden Earphones, she has proudly recorded hundreds of titles, predominantly by female authors wiring stories about female heroes, with Audible, Recorded Books, Blackstone, and most recently, the Star Wars junior novelization series with Penguin Random House. As a playwright, her published and experimental work has appeared internationally in London, Ireland, Scotland, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, Minneapolis, New York City, and Appalachia. In fall of 2017, Almasy co-curated and co-produced AmericanAF, a pop-up political festival centering on the art of black, brown, queer, alternately able-bodied, anarchist, and indigenous artists. As of March 2020, in a similarly urgent fashion, Almasy is now co-curator and co-producer of Out Of An Abundance Of Caution, a weekly LIVE variety show seeking to disrupt the hierarchy of traditional late night television by broadcasting on an entirely free Twitch platform every Sunday at 7:30 P.M., with a new host, an open chat room, and a wildly rotating lineup of contributing artists to provide a space for people to gather and communicate via creative and microeconomic commerce in real time during quarantine. All artists are paid weekly and programming intends to continue until live congregation is safely possible. Jessica has taught performance philosophy and writing all over the world, most recently at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU.

The narration is good with a cast to portray the different characters. This is perfect for family listening and is just a few hours long. I will say that how it ends, one can only hope that there will be a sequel furthering the flying adventures of the Flamingo sisters.
