About this listen

The debut novel about the world's most hated music festival.

Seth is a jaded ex Juggalo who left the Faygo and face paint behind for a miserable middle-class existence. But when his marriage and his career fall apart, his best friend, Spike, offers him a free ticket to one last Gathering of the Juggalos where Seth is once again face-to-face with the magic of the infamous Dark Carnival.

“So many that came after the All-Mighty. Kids that weren't there for The Great Milenko, Stranglemania, Vinnie The f***in ICP Kid, the emergence of Twiztid, The first Gathering of the Juggalos conventions, to the first Gathering of the Juggalos festival, Dark Lotus, Big Money Hustlas, and the All-Mighty 6th Jokers Card. It was a magic era. Lightning in a f--king bottle that could never be recreated. But maybe, just maybe the story is being told again in a different way. For a new Juggalo. A reboot for a whole new generation of Juggalos and Juggalettes that can only read about my era on the internet. Or watch it on YouTube.”

Must listen for any Juggalo

I've been to many Gatherings and relate to the author's sentiment about his experiences. This book is a genuine and honest account of a Gathering experience and what it's like to be a juggalo. Especially the 2010 Gathering. I remember that rebel flag! Whoop whoop!

Listen to this ninja!

So here’s the thing, this book isn’t perfect. The story definitely has holes and is a little confusing at times. That’s ultimately why I enjoyed it so much though. It reminded me of sitting in a kitchen and listening to a friend tell you a story. Highly recommend

Honest and Deep

I've been down with ICP ever since 1998 and have never been to a Gathering, but this audiobook made me feel like I was there with them. It's deep. It's not about the music or the Faygo so much, it's about family and people being kind to each other. In a world filled with hate, it must be amazing to escape that for a week at a Gathering. People who hate ICP just don't understand. It's been awesome to live vicariously through this book for a few hours. Everybody should give this a listen, even if you used to be a Juggalo but fell off after The Great Milenko like a lot of people I've met did.
