About this listen

Congratulations, you’ve won!

On the night of Hallows’ Eve a few lucky shoppers are about to have a night that they’ll never forget....

On the outskirts of the remote town of Sherwood, everyone is abuzz about the big glamorous new mall that is soon to open.

To add fuel to the excitement, some lucky shoppers will be able to spend the night at the Village Square Mall before its grand opening.

As the malls' doors are being locked shut, a wickedly rad party is about to commence.

But against the backdrop of flashing neon lights and blaring music,
the lucky winners soon learn that an evil figure is locked inside the mall with them.

When the crazed blood-thirsty maniac begins a killing spree.

FBI agent Emma Griffin is stunned at the trail of carnage she finds.

On this thriller night, evil is reigning terror.

The winners are full of fright and fighting for their lives.

And Emma and Sam soon learn that many of them will not survive the night to see Halloween.

It’s a thriller night. A killer is on the loose and the beast will continue to strike.

The details have so much depth!

The details into how Emma's brain processes everything is terrific! I love the relationship she and Sam share and how they bounce ideas and theories of each other.

Spin-off

This is a really great spin-off the original series! I love AJ Rivers and HATE that I am now required to write in the stupid box instead of rating with just stars and then the app never saves the review!!! Arg!

A bit chaotic

I understand that this is a retro mini series off of the original Emma griffin series and it is suppose to take place after the original series but how come in this series they don’t have cell phones. Also sams character is so painfully annoying when is he going to stop guilt tripping Emma about her leaving and joining the fbi. The first part of the book felt like it was dragged out then there wasn’t much of a middle part and the ending felt rushed and loosely connected

Interesting twist on a much loved series

I have enjoyed all of the Emma Griffin novels in the first series and was intrigued by this limited series which places the characters in the 1980’s. I love the continuation of the characters development and the interesting storylines.

More time spent investigating

I didn’t dislike the book. I just wish there was more time allowing you to make questions. The was it then or them. It did have a little with George. I missed the feeling of being able to watch the investigation unfold. It was like you had nothing, unable to pick anything that happened. To something completely different , in two chapters. I wish there was more about leading up to the missing persons, allowing the connection between the two unravel.

The author's weakest book.

I've listened to over ten books by that author, and I found this one to be the weakest. The pacing was slow in the beginning, with not much happening for the first ten chapters and over two hours. The middle part felt like a typical Halloween horror story, and the ending, while unpredictable, felt rushed and disappointing.

This was very difficult to listen to

I like this author but this story was so ridiculous it was almost grotesque. Nothing about it was remotely plausible and the narrator is like listening to chalkboard scratches
