About this listen

FROM TWO-MILLION-SELLING AUTHOR STEENA HOLMES AN UNPUTDOWNABLE PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER.

Jillian thought she knew her husband. They’ve been married for twenty years. But she doesn’t know him at all.

Jillian Harper thought moving to the quiet little town in Montana would be the fresh start her family needed. A charming farmhouse, friendly neighbors, and endless open fields—it was supposed to be perfect.

Until the bodies are found.

Buried deep on their land. Hidden for years.

The police are everywhere. The town is whispering. And Tucker—her devoted husband—is acting . . . strange. He won’t tell her where he was all day. He won’t explain why his phone was off. And worst of all—he won’t meet her eyes.

Jillian knows Tucker is lying. She just doesn’t know why.

But the truth is far worse than she imagined. . .

AN EXHILARATING BLEND OF BREATHTAKING SUSPENSE AND NAIL-BITING TENSION WITH A SHATTERING FINAL TWIST BY A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR.

Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, John Marrs, A.L. Torre, Shari Lapena, T.M. Logan and Clare Mackintosh.

The plot became downright silly at times. Jillian's behavior was beyond retrograde. It was, quite frankly, pathologically pathetic. *I* wanted to divorce the idiot husband at least 20 times - and he's a fictional character! The narration was very good. Free with Kindle sub (thankfully).

Honestly the interactions between the characters were so longwinded and redundant. Jillian and Tucker had the exact same conversation in every chapter…..the book could have probably been half the length it was. There were so many times where the author was over descriptive and you just wanted her to get to the point. Also Jillian was a complete airhead and ended up being annoying. The story could have been so good but feel flat with the redundancies and unlikeable characters. Missing the thrilling pieces in the plot that keep you wanting more. A struggle to finish.

Redundant and long winded

The characters were shallow and the wording was often redundant. The ending left much to be desired. Maybe this is the beginning of a bad series?

Not much.

Easy to listen to and also to follow. It held my attention and the story line was smooth.

I felt it was a good read.

Maybe before reading a book the narrator should learn to pronounce town names in the state they are reading about.

Montana resident

excellent story, kept my interest the entire time. only dislike was the no backbone wife. I just can't believe people would act like that in real life.

The book kept me interested and guessing. The narration was excellent. But they just left Meri and Lola hanging! Not cool.

There were so many elements of the storyline that were not pursued. So many of the characters that could have been better developed, and made more interesting. I was left with many questions. It felt like so many things were left undone.

Boring
