About this listen

"I found her." One phone call and three whispered words is all it takes for Paige Fischer to risk everything - including her own life.

One missing sister....

Twelve years ago, Paige Fischer's identical twin, Jessica was kidnapped. Blaming herself, Paige never gave up hoping Jess is still alive, despite everyone else in her life insisting it's time to move on.

One devoted fiancé....

Jamie is the perfect partner, and father to their son, but when he asks Paige to set a date for their wedding, she tells him she can't, not until her sister is found. Every step forward Paige takes with her life feels like a betrayal to Jess and until Paige knows for sure what happened to her, she can't settle down.

One fateful lie....

There's been a sighting and all it takes is one phone call, one betrayal and one whispered threat for Paige to throw caution to the wind and do what nobody else could: rescue Jess. But what if Paige doesn't make it in time? Is Jess still alive? Or is someone playing a twisted game with Paige? Whatever outcome, the only thing Paige knows is that she's willing to risk it all, even her own life, if it means saving her sister.

Do yourself a favor and buy this! I’m picky and I loved it. Kept my interest, in fact hard to tear me away. Well written and the performance was on point.

A barbed treble hook of a story that embeds itself into your soul and doesn’t let go!

I bought this book to listen to as I drove from Spokane to jSeattle. It was worth every penny. It kept me captivated right up to the last sentence. This is my first Steena Holmes novel, but it definitely will not be my last. I’m looking forward to the next one.

What an excellent book!

This is my first Steena Holmes book…. And it’s really good!! The writing is detailed and explicit. The characters are well developed and interesting, and this storyline could be real. It feels real and draws you into the story so you can experience it.

When Jessica disappeared, Paige felt like it was her fault. And the feeling has lasted for 12 years. It’s why she works with the CHILD organization and spends her time helping families that have children that have been abducted. As twins, Paige feels like she would know if Jessica was dead, and she doesn’t feel that. She’s convinced she’s alive and won’t give up hope, or move on with her life, until she’s found.

This book made me really think about how prevalent trafficking is in our society. It’s a very sad world that we live in when people feel like they have the right to kidnap young women and men and sell them. I love what CHILD does. I hope there are Mandy of these agency’s and that they find and deal with every single trafficker.

I listened to this, but whether you read or listen, you need to experience it. If you listen, Patricia Santomasso has the voice for these characters!

Audible skips chapters

I both read this book on kindle alongside listening to it on audible. I stopped listening when I noticed chapter 22or 23 was missing. So I was worried I’d miss out on more after that.
