Very Nicely Done

The reading is clear and we'll paced. It is accurate to the original text. I wish the reader had done the third book in the series, The Warlord Of Mars.

ACTION PACKED FIGHTING & ATTACK STRATAGIES

If you could sum up The Gods of Mars in three words, what would they be?

fighting, friendship, enemies

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think my favorite character in this book was Phaidor.. she is so evil & juvenile at the same time. The love she has for John Carter would make you think she is kind, its so interesting that even having so much love, she is so evil. I like two extremes.

Which scene was your favorite?

The Escape from the therns turning into the capture from the Black Pirates. It's like your on an emotional rollercoaster.. There was also really exciting and unbelievable moments like when John Carter thought he killed his own son with his bare hands.. so good.. everything. is so good in this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I think my reaction was how many times can John Carter get him self into trouble... this book did make me laugh especially the part where Cathoris and John Carter kept missing the opportunity to find out that they are father and son.

Any additional comments?

I did enjoy this book I felt like the reader was able to have more dialogue of different characters than from the first book. My one ho-humm...comment is that I got tired of how many times John Carter was put into situations where he couldn't possibly get out of but then was able to get out of them, I don't mind that in action packed books like this but it was just one too many times.

Its a bit all over the place

I really liked the first book. And this book has its moments. The story really meanders this time. Can't say for sure, but I think the serialized nature of the story had a negative effect on this one.
