About this listen

The Goldsmith’s Conspiracy is the final book in the best-selling Glass and Steele series. To see why readers/listeners rave about the series, start at the beginning with The Watchmaker’s Daughter.

Tensions between the artless and magicians are flaring, but India and Matt discover someone is deliberately fuelling the flames. Relentlessly pursuing his own agenda, Lord Coyle employs the former master of the Watchmaker’s Guild to make trouble and be a thorn in India’s side.

But India has the ear of the government now, and her own political influence is growing, something which pushes Lord Coyle over the edge. He plots his revenge by murdering a jeweler and casting blame onto someone very important to Matt and India. As they scramble to prove Coyle was the real killer before the accused is hanged, they learn the extent of Coyle’s influence and the true motive behind his actions.

With a problem too big to solve alone, India and Matt draw on aid from their friends. But it’s old enemies who cause the biggest crisis of all.

LOVED IT

This was such a wonderful little story. All of the characters are so vivid, and the performance is wonderful. I’m so glad there were this many! Gonna go re-read the Librarian of Crooked Lane now, which I didn’t know was a spin off when I read it!

Glass and Steel series

I loved the multiple characters, old US west meets London! I also love the fact I found the series after the author finished the series. I started with the boxed set and binged with the following books (13 in all) Yeah!!
It was a wonderful alternate universe, well developed rules of the world and still kept to the world as we know it— except with Magic!!

It’s over 😭

I loved this series! The stories were great, the narration was perfect and I am super bummed the series is complete with The Goldsmith’s Conspiracy. At least CJ Archer is moving on w/ a new series w/ some of the same characters as in Steele & Glass. And, I will definitely check out her other books as well!

This Series Should Be a TV Show

I love this series so much. The characters are so likable and I've become attached. I wish there were more books. The narrator is so good. I'm going to miss hearing about Willie and Farnsworth's adventures. Great audio book series. I highly recommend.

Great and fun series

The Glass and Steele series is well written and enjoyable. The characters are well rounded and, as we learn more and more about them over the course of the series, we come to care about each of them. The two protagonists, India and Matt, move the story along through a series is events and adventures that put each in peril but are saved by the other’s great love and affection. Magic reigns throughout, both causing and resolving the precarious situations that befall the characters as they move through their world of 1890s England.

So good! Should be made into a television program with thirteen episodes!

Best books I’ve read. Read one after another and really wish there were more books coming. Please write more books in this series.

Wonderful series l

Loved it, and the narrator was easy to listen to. I'm glad I found this series when all of the books could be listened to one right after the other.
