About this listen

Talk is cheap, and Maggie isn't buying.

As the owner of Great Lakes Investigations, she's seen just about everything there is to see. Murder, embezzlement, infidelity; you name it, she's been there and got the investigative t-shirt.

If there's anyone Maggie trusts less than the targets of her investigation, it's the clients who hire her. They always have something to hide.

But, then, so does Maggie....

She's not just your average PI. She's a sorceress.

Untangling paranormal cases brought to her by fae, shifters, and vampires is all in a day's work for Maggie. However, her latest case might end up being her last.

Can Maggie solve the case without losing everything? Or will she find out too late that friends can't always be trusted?

Great read or listen if you will. Unexpected twist and turns and exciting possibilities as the story developed

Excellent story line, already excited to read the next book!!

Good story line across the books for the most part.

The social commentary was a bit obvious and forced at times.

Some books more than others had a thing about these adults sticking out their tongue at other adults. Perhaps those in their late 20’s do that these days?

The colorful language made sense in most cases, but sometimes felt forced and out of place with the context of the situation.

And, the characters seemed to forget specific things said when it would have been helpful to remember. Most authors don’t usually put something of significance in a story and then never use it.

I liked the story (bought all 8 available), but the writing could use some work to make them better.

Good story across the series, some unnecessary elements

This is a good start to a new (to me) series. I wasn’t sure when I started this book if I would continue the series but it picked up speed after the first few chapters and I was hooked.

Worth checking out

Fun. I liked it. Will be catching the next in the series. Next level narrator-Ronconi is always excellent.

Fun

I liked this. Fun paranormal romance. Only the casual right-away sexual encounter was a bit much (honestly casual sex is just not healthy for anyone , and it’s best to take time before giving up sex). But besides that it was a good distraction. The story was a bit odd in some ways (too textbook then wildly deviant from textbook in almost unbelievable ways) but it was a good one and I enjoyed it and will get the next. Amanda R is the best narrator . Interesting that this hasn’t gotten more reviews.

Good one

I had a hard time caring about anyone in the book. all the protagonists were either really hateful or really non descript . Wo t go to the next one.

Not that great
