Fate. Destiny. The Gods.
All of it felt set against me as I traveled back through time with nothing to guide me but my heart.
I was soon to discover that it wasn't my heart that would betray me. It was the HellBeast's heart that thought… I had betrayed him.
Being lost in time was hard enough. But being lost in time while being hunted for revenge was even worse, a revenge that was never mine to receive.
So, as I tumbled through the ages, I learned an important lesson. Sometimes… Time doesn't heal all wounds, after all. No, it just made them deeper.
For a HellBeast King has not forgotten.
And soon, I was to discover the true meaning of a HellBeast's hate.

I love this series and can't wait until the rest of the series is available in Audible.

As for the story, I liked it. I like how so many of S. Hudson's series are tied into each other as I really love the world she has created. The biggest complaint I have with the writing in this series is the over-use of the word "however". S.H. Has really come along in her writing. Her earlier books were loaded with filler and excessive descriptions. Now she has found the right balance and I no longer find myself skipping 3/4 of a book so that I can keep track of the plot.
That said, I am disappointed that many of her newer books feel like they are nit an entire story. It feels like she wrote one book then decided it in three parts. Worse, each incomplete book is now around $30 a piece. As a fan of her stories I feel she is taking advantage of her loyal readers/listeners and trying to bleed us of as much money as she can. I don't know that I'll continue to enjoy her work if she continues to think with her bank account. I apologize if that sounds mean, but that is how it is coming off.
Cringe-worthy narration
