From the realms of the Afterlife Saga comes a new spin on this Gothic world....

When a bunch of misfit orphans all find themselves on a bus heading towards a new life, one called Afterlife, it wasn’t quite what they had in mind. But even fate can play games and five teens will soon find themselves asking even more questions than ever before.

Questions about an uncertain future in this new world and the very first one on the top of that long list...what does the King of Heaven and Hell have in store for them?

This is a continuation of the Afterlife Saga, suitable for young adults but a must listen for all Afterlife fans!

Great Youth Read for Afterlife

I really enjoyed this book and ready for the next in series. Have read the adult books of Afterlife Saga and this helps fill in between the other sagas but is a great start Afterlife series for teens. It's funny and dramatic with a start of adventure. Love Pip and Sophia as teachers.; it was hilarious! Great job Stephanie Hudson!!

Wrong Narrator for previously recorded characters

Audible has NO RIGHT using a different narrator for characters Rebecca Rainsford has brought to life for the fans of Stephanie's work. If Rebecca was too busy to record her previous roles then the morons at Audible should have waited. There is no problem using a new narrator for new characters, but don't murder the characters we've grown to love based on scheduling conflicts. Dyer is a great narrator, so please don't confuse who my fury is directed at. Audible has proven before how money hungry they are. If the fans matter, this B.S. wouldn't happen.

Too short

Way too short and no actual plot built up to and completed. it's like a prequel that just explains a few vague back stories and introduces characters. Don't pay full price for this one.

Not a whole story

This book mostly told you about rooms. It really only spoke of the plot at the beginning and at the very end. The rest only told you about the rooms the kids saw, food they ate, and their first day of class. At the end they finally started to get to the plot then it ended. I understand they wanted a cliffhanger for the next book, but I would still expect a book to have a complete story. It seems authors are making sure you have to get the next book to finish this first book. If this is only a two book series I guess I won't mind too much, but it does still feel like you are spending two credits to get one book which is a shady way to get money from you. If this series is more than two books I will be very frustrated. I think the narrator is good, but I don't think he was the right choice for this book. He sounds too old for the ages he's portraying and girls didn't sound feminine. I have already bought the next book so I will continue. I am not sure I'll buy additional books if there are any.

Changed narrators now??😡

After 13 books with Rebecca Rainsford narrating the books and creating the characters, The Glass Dagger is done by someone different!😡. It completely made Draven sound like a total wimp. The story line was great, but the change in narrators made me sorry I bought the audiobook!

Just okay....

Apparently, this is a spinoff of another series but I came into this without reading any of those books. This is a YA book that introduces the reader to the Afterlife Academy. Having no prior knowledge of any of the characters, I just took everything as it was given. With that being said, there was a lot of information that really didn't feel like it was relevant. Lots of info - about movies, music, room decorations, etc.

I alternated between listening and reading this and had no problems with the narration. While this did hold my interest, in the end, I felt like it was just okay. I will admit, that I liked the character of Pip the best. She really was hilarious.

Will I continue onward? At this point, I'm not sure.
