Some narrators grab my attention. You know those story tellers like, Scott Brick, MacLeod Andrews, Cassandra Campbell. When they give voice to characters, it enhances the experience for me. This narrator has taken a cast of fantasy creature and made me smile or cringe. He’s done his job well with a large cast from fairies to vampires. The story is well thought out. It builds slowly so give it time. I don’t see your five year old engrossed in this plot. But it will grab your eight to twelve year old fantasy reader. Here’s the plus, I’m sure you’ll find talking points all throughout the story line. What just happened? What’s really being said? How does it relate to…? When you can listen and discuss a book with your family it’s worth your time.

A wonderful change of pace. This story is filled with danger and excitment and adventure. and is totally suitable for younger audiences. I do not recall any foul language, and no adult type interactions. the narrator was superburb!

simply amazing

I recently listened to this book with my husband and children on a long toad trip. We all enjoyed it! I already knew I loved the book, and was delighted to find the narration was also excellent!!

Wonderful!

We love this book and will “read” it again and again! We liked how it melds real-world problems with a fantastic adventure and ends with a strong moral. This was a great book on tape for our family ages 9-adult to listen to. Our 3 year-old wasn’t particularly engaged, but he IS 3 and this book is for a slightly older group. For listening: 8-9 years old would be about as young as I would go for comprehension and engagement. For reading, probably no younger than 11. VERY clean reading- “noble fantasy,” if you will, of the Tolkien ilk.

We are already waiting for the second book!

Taking advantage of the clear summer nights under the stars near our fire pit added the perfect setting to enjoy this adventurous tale. The excitement, the danger, and the life and death struggle that the characters undertake in this story kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat,

Can’t wait for book two!

The Hero Seekers is great start to a new series, the characters played well off each other. And the narrator is fantastic as always.

I have never claimed to be a good reviewer.

A great start.
