Publisher's summary

Love and mystery mix in the final installment of this spine-tingling, hauntingly gorgeous trilogy, which L. J. Smith calls “Spectacular!”

In the eagerly anticipated conclusion to the best-selling saga of Abbey and Caspian, listeners finally learn the truth about Kristen’s untimely death, the dark destiny that links Abbey to Caspian and ties them both to the town of Sleepy Hollow, and the hard choices that Abbey must make if she is to accept Caspian’s love and their unexpected fate. Beautifully spun, emotionally gripping, and irresistibly romantic, The Hidden will leave readers breathless.

Jessica Verday wrote the first draft of her debut novel, The Hollow, by hand, using thirteen spiral-bound notebooks and fifteen black pens. She likes things that smell nice, rainy nights, old books, cemeteries, Johnny Cash, zombie movies, L. J. Smith books, abandoned buildings, trains, and snow.

I wanted to...🤔

I guess if you are very young and in love this would be romantic. However, I was pissed off at the waste of a life not yet lived. All I kept telling myself was run, run to your future.

Love this take on ghost story

This was a very good, well written ghost story, not like any others I’ve read yet. I loved that all three books came full circle. My only note would be that I wish the epilogue had been just a little longer to see what he may be happened to her parents and cyn, and a few other characters.

A nice break from my normal listen choice.

Really enjoyed this series. So much so I couldn't turn it off! Definitely going to look for more book from this author. Listened to all 3 books in less than a week. Great narrator! You get so engrossed in the story that you forget it's a woman doing men's voices. LOVE that!!!

Well written but...

This was a very well written book no arguing that but the fact that it is a trilogy boggles me. This could have been a short novel and still had plenty of “mundane” details to build the story. I thought character building was lacking and the fact that I still have all kinds of questions after the end bothers me.

Bitter sweet

I really liked this series. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has always been one of my favorite stories and yearly I watch Disney’s version on Halloween. Without spoiling the ending for anyone I’d like to say that it was a bitter sweet one. Thinking of the story from the beginning I feel that it was an appropriate ending, the way it should have been. Loved this listen.

Read and listened

Read this book many years ago. Had all three books in my collection, gifted them to a dear friend. Decided to listen just recently. Still one of my favorite Series EVER! Thinking I might just need to purchase all three books again for our home library.

Rollercoaster of love

I loved the author’s writing style. Her detailed descriptions painted pictures. I could see the story unfold in my mind, like watching a film. The only part that I was frustrated with was the pacing toward the end. It felt rushed and was a little confusing. I still have questions. But other than that I really enjoyed the journey.
