Publisher's summary

Ronan Sutherland is a fierce warrior. Swearing off all else, he thrives on his powerful position within William Wallace's army. Freedom for the Scots is his mission - until he meets fair Julianna. She captivates him, intoxicates him...makes him want more out of life than the harsh dangers he's accustomed to.

Lady Julianna is no meek maiden. She's trained in the art of war, sister to one of Scotland's most powerful men, and tasked with keeping the future king safe. Until she's kidnapped by a rivaling clan. Now her only hope is for the one man she trusts - and desires - to save her.

Together, they'll have to face down one of Scotland's most treacherous foes. And keep from falling victim to the one thing they've both eluded thus far - love.

Bravery

Love the continued story of brave men and women in love. Interesting poisonous weapons and funny sayings the Scott’s used. Very entertaining.

Great story!

I'm absolutely loving this series. This fourth book was so much fun I just want to keep reading this series. I love how all the brothers and cousins are entwined throughout the whole series and they're all finding love.

Love the narrator

Corrie James is the perfect person to read the highlander books and you can't go wrong choosing Eliza Knight as the author. Good story as usual.

My fav so far

I really liked these characters, individually and together. They are the perfect match. I’ve enjoyed the series but I am so shallow I really like a good cover and the next book cover is a disappointment because it’s not attractive and doesn’t match the description of the character in the book. Not heavy combat in the first couple of books. These are more on the romantic side with a hint of battle. I will listen to the series and there is a follow up series I will listen to as well about the Sutherland family.

Very exciting reading

Eliza knight is a very good writer and brings the character’s to life.
The person reading the story made you feel you were there. Inflection of voice and different tones of voice made the book very pleasurable to listen to

Warrior Bride + Gallant Husband = Great Chemistry

The fact that this book has a woman who is an actual warrior makes this Highland story quite unique. Many stories show women who are strong fighters but Julilanna was actually trained to be a warrior. When Ronan and Julianna are thrown together there is not only romantic chemistry but battle chemistry. Juliana is smart, strong, spirited, and courageous.....Ronan is powerful, brave, chivalrous, romantic, and delicious. Ronan was not intimidated by Julianna's warrior strength, he admired and respected her. The kind of man women dream of.

Although this story has actual historical characters it has many fictional characters which makes for a more interesting story. Overall, this is a fun romantic read especially when you need an escape from reality.

Also, Corrie James as narrator is always a pleasant listen.

The Highlander's Warrior Bride

I loved the book, The Highlander's Warrior Bride, so I bought the audiobook as well. Corrie James did an excellent job as master storyteller in presenting this novel. Through the use of her marvelous talent, she was able to breath life into these well developed characters bringing them to life. This is wonder series with or without an audio version. The audio is just the icing on the cake.

A GREAT TALE OF TEMPTATION, DENIAL & A COMMON GOAL

Give me a big, brave, handsome Highlander (preferably in a kilt - yes I'm that shallow) give him a cause to believe in and die for, couple that with a likeable strong heroine and I'm one happy historical romance fan.

Both Ronan and Julianna are Warriors used to a hard life struggling for a worthy cause and each are used to battles as they've each got the scars to show for it, but the biggest battle is about to begin as fate throws them together then their battle is to stay together, watch out for one another, support each other but to keep their hands off each other..... no matter what (oh yea right like that's gonna happen).

It was very engaging, entertaining and enjoyable as the pair has obvious sexual chemistry but try to avoid any emotional entanglement so they focus on the bloody war between England and Scotland - in particular a very close threat. But there's no denying their other chemistry - in battle, in the cause, in emotions and this results in the ultimate - sexual chemistry. There's action, adventure, romance, sex, fight scenes, secrets, truths suspense, likeable characters (including William Wallace and Robert The Bruce) and, as the undeniable passion ignites, it becomes a touching love story too.

Thanks for the Author's notes at the end - it saved me 'Googling' facts from fiction.

Worth a credit? Yes, for any lover of a good Highland romance story that's steeped in fictional events with a hint of truth - so that's another "I'm happy I spent the credit on this" Yes - or should I say Aye.

Engaging!

I am loving all the books in this series. The narrator is good with most "voices". This storyline was very interesting, with just enough twists to keep you engaged!
