About this listen

A chilling story from bestselling pyschological thriller writer, Keri Beevis packed full of twisted secrets and long-awaited revenge.

The perfect getaway?
Or your worst nightmare...?

My boyfriend, Max, booked a house in the woods as a surprise break. A week away would be the perfect chance to put the lies and secrets behind us and to start afresh.

But in the silence it feels like someone is out there. Watching, waiting...

When strange things begin to happen, I know this isn't going to be the relaxing break it’s supposed to be.

As my fear increases, Max’s patience begins to wear thin. He thinks I am imagining things. But he doesn't know the huge secret I am keeping, so big it could destroy us.

I have every right to be fearful and I have to make sure he never finds out the truth.
But what if I am already too late?

A tension-packed psychological thriller that will have you gripped.

Perfect for fans of Valerie Keogh, Freida McFadden and Claire McGowan

Hard to understand the heroine’s actions

I’ve been a fan of this author since reading the box set (highly recommend), but the heroine in the last few books I’ve read outside of that set - this one included - is so hard to logically relate to. This character made horrible decision after horrible decision based on nothing but assumptions about her bf. So much of the drama could have been resolved if the two had just, I dunno, talked?

Overall a decent story but would have been better if the main character was somewhat rational.

Edge. Of. My. Seat.

This book got insanely intense! Kerri Beevis is a queen! I was glued to this story from beginning till the end. Kerri Beevis has a way of making the reader/listener emotional. My heart broke for Emily in spots, in some areas I could relate with Emily (when it came to Max). It’s hard to give my opinion about Connor without giving the plot away so all I can say about Connor was he is one hell of a character. The ending epilogue didn’t surprise me. I am sure if Kerri wanted to, she could write a sequel to this book. Loved the characters, loved the plot, loved the story. Worth the credit.

Disappointed.

I just got through with Keri Beevis boxset. Those books were so so good. This one was slow and disappointing.

Great writing!

Love this author! This book was great just like her others. The end part before the prologue was a tad hard to believe. A few unrealistic choices for a sane adult(s), but still plausible and didn’t stop me from absolutely loving the whole thing. This narrator was AMAZING!! Love her. Highly recommend!
