About this listen
Jack Winslow is taking a break from Little Feather.
After the revelation that the paranormal world is real, Jack has been struggling with the fact that almost everyone he knows has been secretly lying to him. Thinking a trip to his uncle’s cabin will help him take his mind off of things, he heads to the Ozarks of Missouri.
But not long after he arrives he finds that Crystal Cove has its own set of problems, and they seem to be paranormal in nature. Jack wants nothing more than to mind his own business and unwind on a much-needed vacation, but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Instead, he finds himself facing a paranormal menace he’s sure even Miranda hasn’t faced.
Can he help the people of Crystal Cove find peace, or will he find himself in more trouble than he knows how to handle?

Quick Paranormal Cozy Mystery.
Parents: PG- PG13
Language: PG
Violence: PG-13
Sexual content: PG13- normal cozy mystery sweet romance with the bedroom scenes left out
"He wasn't running, just processing it all" The reality of vampires and werewolves wasn't as scary as the "big *#s spiders." Staying at his uncle's cabin wasn't as uneventful as he had hoped... nothing like some mystery and a girl to mix things up even more.
The narrator did a good job with all the differentiations and acting. I did prefer listening at 1.4x speed.

Hooked me in on First Page
Thinking this was going to be your normal murder mystery book and it does a twist. I was not expecting to have goblins, werewolves, and mermaids in this story, but it fit so well. It is a short story, but it is very detailed. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Great book
Loved the narrator in this book. The storyline was original in this short audiobook and the worldbuilding was good. The characters were well done and excellently composed by the narrator. They were intricate to the story and made lots of sense overall in the book. This book was a good listen and I would recommend it. I received this with a promotional credit and this is my honest opinion.

More paranormal happenings for Jack
This book could be read as standalone, but for continuity it's better to have read the prior one first to fully understand Jack's feelings and what has sent him to his hometown.
I liked that even though he feels betrayed by everyone conspiring to keep the supernatural world from him, he doesn't let his hurt feelings stop him from doing his best to help when he lands in the middle of another paranormal problem.
Jack is easy to relate to, and his motivations make sense. In the other book I read he's a side character, and I enjoyed finding out more about him and his backstory.
Bruce 's narration was the perfect tone and accent for Jack. Whenever I read Jack's dialogue in other stories I'm going to hear Bruce's voice from now on.

Unique and Entertaining
I found the Hunted Hunter to be a very well written, unique story that kept me engrossed from the first page. The characters are fun, and a few are a bit quirky, and I loved it. I will agree with a quote from the book "Every who is supposed to be good may not be good and everyone who is supposed to be may not be bad" that speaks volumes. I received this book for free upon my request from an audiobook website. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own free will.
