About this listen

All it takes is one phone call to change your life.

Miranda Riley is a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas when she receives a call from the police that her mother, Eve, is missing. She rushes home to Little Feather, Oklahoma, hoping to quickly find her mother so she can return to her life in the big city.

But once Miranda begins to search for her, she finds there is much more to Little Feather and her mother than she originally thought. First, the city is an oasis for supernatural creatures, and secondly, her mother was the Paranormal Investigator who kept them all in line.

As a P.I., it was her mother's job to make sure the paranormal creatures stayed out of view from humans and didn't commit any crimes. But now that she's gone that’s changing.

Miranda finds herself caught up in a world she never knew existed. She needs to find her mother before paranormal things get out of hand in Little Feather, and two very attractive men are willing to help her.

First book of a great series!!!

I can't wait to hear more of it! I was hooked up right from the start! I loved the story, it is full of paranormal characters and mystery (just like it is supposed to be). It has a great story arch and it is very well written. The main character (Miranda) has a strong character and is perfect for the Rome she needs to play! The choice between Jesse and Jack, OMG! Amazing!!!

The narration was excellent as well, it really has me picturing all the scenes and the characters just as if I was the one inside the book!

I really recommend this series!

Great start!

What a wonderful and charming story with enough characters to keep the story flowing. I enjoyed the narrator and look forward to more.

A Paranormal Cozy Mystery

This book has a good storyline and plot. I enjoyed listening to it, even though it is different from what I usually like.

Paranormal means different things to different people. I typically listen to or read cozy mysteries that are reality based, but I also like mysteries where a character has a psychic ability. I'll occasionally listen to or read a humorous mystery where someone sees or is visited by departed spirits. I'm not a big fan of the witch genre. Werewolves, vampires, demons, and other paranormal creatures are not my thing.

This audiobook has some characters that are werewolves and vampires, who live in a real life world. The focus of this story is not on their superpowers. The characters are mostly in their human forms. If a listener wants an audiobook with hardcore paranormal creatures, this isn't that audiobook.

The main character in this book, Miranda, learns her mother is missing. She tries to find her. Along the way she discovers that her mother has a secret life. Miranda learns that paranormal creatures exist and her mother is a Paranormal Investigator. It is a lot for one person to go through at the same time and made a good story.

This audiobook is narrated by co-author Krystal Doolittle, who has a nice voice. I enjoyed listening to a multi-talented author read a book that she wrote.

P.I. = Paranormal Investigations

A clean cozy with vampires, werewolves, and a missing mother. Miranda is introduced to the paranormal in this first installment of the series. Done like a police procedural, Miranda searches for her mother ; throughout she fears this possible kidnap has turned into a murder. A touch of romance rounds out the story. I was gifted this from the author.

Paranormal Gone Cozy!

Paranormal is not usually my cup of tea but if Dianne Harman is going cozy with it, I'm in!

Miranda Riley lives in Las Vegas working as a blackjack dealer. She receives a call from Jack Winslow who is the Chief of Police in Little Feather, OK where she's from. Her mother still lives there and Jack informs Miranda that she's missing. Eve is a PI and it could be related to a case she's working on.

So Miranda drives home and finds a world she's unfamiliar with. After meeting several people in town and finding out new things about her mom, as well as others, she's on her way to hopefully finding Eve.

I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline! The ending was satisfying and left me wanting to know what's going to happen next. The narrator, Krystal Doolittle, is also the co-author and did a wonderful job!

Thank you Dianne Harman for the audio code!

Paranormal mystery

I usually don’t read paranormal books. I received a recommendation for this author. I enjoyed the book and the mystery of her missing mother. I would say that I wasn’t ready for it to end so soon. Give it a try it’s worth the read.
I received this book for an honest review.

Oh, dear,

I was really pretty excited about this book, I thought the premise sounded really promising. However, the narration is so awful that I just can’t fight my way through this one. I will be returning it, and I recommend you listen to the sample before you purchase it. Please hire an actress and don’t attempt to read your own work.
