Publisher's summary

Every year the futuristic school, Cragbridge Hall, holds its most popular tournament, the Hunt: a series of challenges that range throughout the school and require the use of its amazing inventions like its holographic time machine! But this year is different. Rather than a monetary or academic reward, this year's winner will be the recipient of a carefully-guarded school secret: a secret that could prove both powerful and dangerous.

Afraid that the secret may be one of their grandfather's inventions, Abby and Derick gather several friends and enroll. But when Derick gets a mysterious message from the future, the team of friends must figure out how to succeed even when they know they are destined to fail. The stakes have never been higher. A time-travel adventure that teaches powerful lessons about choice and consequence, believing you can do hard things, and valuing our history.

Great story for all ages!

The narrator has amazing versatility, portraying male and female voices, young and old voices, and a number of accents. The storyline and subject matter are extremely creative. The evil characters and fight scenes are handled in a tasteful way so the story can be enjoyed by all. It's a great tale of good vs. evil, friendship, adventure, and never giving up. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a great story!

Amazing End to Fantastic Series

What an awesome trilogy for middle grade kids and even adults. I laughed out loud many times, drawing odd looks from people on public transit. I highly recommend this and the two preceding books!

My nerves were on edge - literally

This series is amazing on many levels. Not only is the story developed well, the characters are portrayed as dynamic with multiple levels in their personality, their values, and morals (or lack of (or absence from) these. As Abbey and Derrick are the twin grandchildren of Oscar
Cragbridge - the genius inventor and founder of the elite school that uses his inspired inventions as exceptional educational tools. Their insight and inherent values have helped save their grandfather, parents and others from an evil billionaire who covets Oscar's inventions, especially the one that allows those who knows its secret to go back in time and even peek at the present. Even with those amazing abilities it could be disastrous in the wrong hands. But ... Can it do more?

What makes this series so impactful beyond the fantastic tale, is the way the author uses Oscar as the voice of reason, to ask the moral questions. If we can change the pat, should we? What if those changes impact our present in ways we couldn't even fathom? What if one small change impacts someone important not being born or causing someone to expire before a major event was to take place. There is always moral dilemmas when time travel is involved. This series is worth the credits. I'm sad to see that there are no more Audible books for it although there are more in the series. Soon I hope.
