I’m thankful that the story had redeeming qualities that included history because there was nothing indomitable about the heroine. It read more like a parity of in indomitable. The heroine was insipid whiny and on uninteresting. I will not reread this Author again, I would rather have my teeth polled.

This was my first Amanda Scott and my last. The narrator was fine as long as she didn't have to change voices for the different characters...... Her male voices were irritating. I did finish the book but on fast speed most of the time to see if it would get better. It didn't. There was too much prattle about everyone else BUT the main characters. Don't waste a credit on this one - if you need to be bored for 8 hours then wait for it to go on the $4.95 sale list!

what an annoying girl! Landover has a very frustrating life ahead, as she learns NOTHING from her mistakes, & will cause him much embarrassment, & claim ignorance & naivety & cry, heave her bosom, & flutter her lashes, and he will laughs & fix everything. the ending was contrived & abrupt, with 8 hours of nonsense resolved in 10 minutes. It is totally beyond belief why he would love her (besides the bosom).

Does 'indomitable' mean stubborn & stupid?
