About this listen

Meet retired cop, Sam Prichard.

"Mr. Prichard," the note said, "the people you see in the photos will be killed within the next 48 hours, unless you stop me. I have been following your exploits closely, and I think that you are the one I need to make sure I stop doing this. I've been trying for more than 15 years to kick this habit, but I can't. Normally, I don't strike so many times so close together, but in order to get you interested, I'm going to up the odds. I need you to do only two things: discover who each of my victims is, and then do all you can to stop me before I can kill each one. The first one will die exactly 24 hours after you receive this note. The second will die 12 hours after that...and the third 12 hours after that. If you cannot stop me before I can kill the third one, then no one can. Then there will be a fourth victim, but you get no clues for that one. Good luck."

Another good book by David Archer. I have found that in this series I have really enjoyed every book so far. It's usually hard to to find d all the books in a series just as good as the last. David Archer has to be one of the best.....I really enjoy the singing

Loved this story.
One confusing place though, the part where Sam is talking to Darrel Unger on the phone Sam first says Porter then Unger, then Porter again? Just a bit of confusion.
Love David Archer series. So far have read all.

Great story

Yes, the novels in this series are a little preachy at times and a bit "goody two shoes", but they are well written and well narrated thrillers with twists and turns that keep the listener's interest. I like that family is so important to Sam Prichard. The original romantic music is a nice touch. I have previously reviewed the prior 4 books in this series.

I tend to listen to audiobooks at 1.5X or 2X recorded speeds. The narrator speaks with sufficient clarity that 2.5X playback speeds are very understandable. He also does female voices and children's voices very well.

Another fun listen from David Archer!

Another gripping story about Sam and Indie with plenty of nail biting events beautifully narrated for us. Sadly there are only three more stories to listen to

Never disappointed with this series of stories

Love this series and characters. I think this is my favorite in the series so far. Archer takes you on an exciting and enjoyable rise. Lots of good twists and turns as usual. Fast paced and full of action. Love that his books are not full of foul language and sex scenes. He proves you can write a good, entertaining book while keeping it clean.

My favorite so far!

Sometimes it felt like an abridgement. It's nice to have a pg-13 story once in awhile, but it also cost a bit of depth.

Decent, but simplictic.

The book was on par with the rest of the series for the most part. Sitting through a literal sermon in a church service was a little too much for me. I might have been able to tolerate that if that part of the story had any impact at all on the plot... but it didn't. I openly admit to not having patience for that sort of thing in real life so I don't appreciate being ambushed with it in a novel. Admitting that I deducted a star for this, I hope you will adjust my rating based on your own tolerances.

Be prepared...
