The breath-taking finale to the epic New York Times best seller, The Diviners, from Printz winner and beloved author, Libba Bray.
After the horrifying explosion that claimed one of their own, the Diviners find themselves wanted by the US government, and on the brink of war with the King of Crows.
While Memphis and Isaiah run for their lives from the mysterious Shadow Men, Isaiah receives a startling vision of a girl, Sarah Beth Olson, who could shift the balance in their struggle for peace. Sarah Beth says she knows how to stop the King of Crows - but, she will need the Diviners' help to do it.
Elsewhere, Jericho has returned after his escape from Jake Marlowe's estate, where he has learned the shocking truth behind the King of Crow's plans. Now, the Diviners must travel to Bountiful, Nebraska, in hopes of joining forces with Sarah Beth and to stop the King of Crows and his army of the dead forever.
But as rumors of towns becoming ghost towns and the dead developing unprecedented powers begin to surface, all hope seems to be lost.
In this sweeping finale, The Diviners will be forced to confront their greatest fears and learn to rely on one another if they hope to save the nation, and world from catastrophe....

Critic reviews
"The producers of this audiobook might have been tempted to hire a full cast as there are more than 25 characters in this story.... The choice to leave it to [narrator January] LaVoy was inspired as she needs no supporting cast. Such is her vocal excellence that listeners will always be certain who is speaking to whom, even in chapters that have 10 distinct speaking parts. This is an audiobook one wishes would never end." Bray's stylized prose gives a strong sense of place and the horrors it represents are evocative. The villains she writes are so despicable the only complaint comes when they are not thoroughly punished. But that's a creative choice as well. Bray chooses to focus on hope and the future than punishing the wicked.
I was a fan from the beginning and in no small part thanks to the brilliant January LaVoy. she's definitely a dozen people in a trench coat because no single human being can be so talented and diverse in their acting. I loved that Bray recognizes the narrator's role by honouring her with a character name in the story. I look forward to this marvelous pair reuniting for another book down the line. Parting is such sweet sorrow. These wonderful characters hopefully can return in a sequel series in the future.
