About this listen

Broke ex-waitresses aren’t supposed to have archenemies.
Seriously, that kind of crap is way above our pay grade.

We certainly aren’t supposed to have multiple supernatural beings competing for the title of “scariest nemesis.” Yet, that’s where I find myself, now that the last vampire on Earth is no longer the last vampire on Earth.

Ransley Thorpe turned his closest friend in a last-ditch effort to save his life. Now all three of us have targets painted on our backs, and the powerful demon who might be able to protect us is the last person in the three realms we should trust.

To survive, we’ll have to rekindle old alliances and rely on friends who have only the barest conception of the danger they’re about to face. One thing is crystal clear - even if we succeed in holding our enemies at bay, my life is about to change in ways I could never have foreseen.

As the only demon/fae/human hybrid in existence, I thought I had problems before.
Silly me. It turns out, I didn’t know when I was well off.

The Last Vampire is a steamy urban fantasy romance series from USA Today bestseller R. A. Steffan and Jaelynn Woolf, co-authors of the Circle of Blood saga.

Order book five today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and one very reluctant vampire. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and love will either be the world’s downfall - or its salvation.

The story continues its wild ride!

I’ve grown quite fond of these characters and their journey, with all its twists and turns, as it’s kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire series thus far. I love the layering of action and suspense as Rans and Zorah cautiously navigate through friend and foe, uncovering truths and deceptions on all sides. Both Fae and Demons are up to no good, and it has left Rans and Zorah on the run and vulnerable with very few allies to trust. Difficult decisions are made to save lives, and the heat between Rans and Zorah deepens as they explore their sexual desires. As Zorah grows as a succubus her power strengthens, and I’m excited to see how her new transformation aides her in the final installment of this adventurous tale. Gwendolyn Druyor continues a great performance on narration, keeping the familiarity of these characters and making it a smooth and consistent listening experience.

Love Love loved it,

This is fifth book in this series and each book gets better and better. I love the characters and the humor they have with each other. Each book keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. This was no exception. Rans confronts i Nigellus about the blood wine and makes him leave. Now He and Zorah and Guthrie go on the run. As i said this book kept me on the edge of my seat. The fight with the Fae that found them and tried to take them prisoner and then tried to kill them. It makes me hate the Fae. (i have never cared for books about the Fae). The end was a surprise. I cannot wait till the final book to see how this all plays out. As always Gwendolyn Druyor does a fantastic job. I could not imagine another narrator taking her place with these book.

I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Terrific Series & Narration🎧Fascinating & Exciting

This fifth installment of Rans and Zorah’s fantastic story takes some interesting turns. At the end of book four we found out Guthrie is Zorah’s grandfather, Rans could not let him die so he turned him. Guthrie is not too happy about becoming a vampire. A weakened Nigellus returns to hell to find Myrial, they are still a threat but Rans and Zorah need to come up with a plan on what to do next. With the help of Albigard they take Guthrie and go to travel on a yacht hoping to stay out of sight from both the demons and Fae. Everything is going well until it it is not, when they found by the Fae. After a chase and battle they manage to escape but something happens to Zorah, she absorbed too much energy from the Fae. They rush to get her medical help. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, some angst, some thrilling and suspenseful moments and a surprising twist. I am looking forward to see what comes next in book six. Thank you R.A. Stefan & Jaelynn Woolf for another awesome story, I love your creative and imaginative minds and the world you created.

I listened to the Audible edition, Gwendolyn Druyor is a fantastic narrator and a versatile voice artist. She brings these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She switches characters flawlessly keeping the story in a perfect flow. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she projects the emotions of the characters as well as the drama of the story into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Zorah and Rans are hotter than ever...............

This book is the fifth installment in this paranormal romance featuring two incredibly powerful supernatural creatures: a vampire named Ransley and a half-demon/half-human named Zorah. This fifth book really needs to be read as part of the entire series because it picks up right from the end of book four with Rans' best friend recovering from being turned into a vampire after almost dying in book four. The action takes off from that point and never really lets go. As with all of the books in this series, the story follows Zorah and Rans as they navigate this incredible world built by Steffan and Woolf. However, as with every book this team writes, they somehow manage to keep the story fresh and dynamic. In this fifth book, neither Rans or Zorah make their usual visit to Hell. Rather, they take a special cruise ship catering to the varied sexual needs of it's wealthy passengers. As I said, these ladies are always changing just enough of the story in order to keep me guessing. The book ends with a major, jaw-dropping surprise, and I am anxiously awaiting the release of the sixth book.

Gwendolyn Druyor's narration is as sublime as always. She narrates all the books in the series, and she is the perfect choice for both Zorah and Rans. She differentiates subtly but well between characters, and her performance is flawless. Her delivery adds just the right amount of emotion to keep the story exciting and entertaining, and I would happily listen to anything that she narrates.
