About this listen

Assistant, you are a leader.

As an assistant, you constantly face obstacles that hold you back from accomplishing your career goals. Whether it’s a job change, shifting deadlines, a micromanaging executive, a toxic coworker, a high-pressure project, or an intense negotiation with a vendor, the administrative profession is not for the faint of heart.

If you’re looking to maintain the status quo and be “just an assistant”, this audiobook is not for you. But, if you want the confidence and ability to conquer the challenges that most try to avoid, then you’re in the right place.

The Leader Assistant outlines four pillars - embody the characteristics, employ the tactics, engage in relationships, and exercise self-care - that will help you rediscover your passion for the profession and become a confident, future-proof, game-changing leader assistant. If you neglect even one pillar, you’ll head for burnout, stagnation, and anonymity. You are meant for so much more.

Are you ready to be the leader assistant the world needs?

This was such a helpful book on how to be more effective, forward thinking, and influential as an Executive Assistant. I truly believe this book should be owned by every assistant and leader. Thank you Jeremy for this thoughtful resource - the physical copy of this book is highlighted, underlined, and flagged to within an inch of it’s life, might need a back up.

So many helpful nuggets!

Jeremy is a good storyteller! But this book is anything but a fable. His wisdom, knowledge and expertise conveyed through stories helps demonstrate practical application. From what NOT to do, what to be cautious of, and what tools/strategies will help you ROCK as a leader assistant, his communication is clear and effortless. The Leader Assistant is a MUST READ for anyone in a support role, and a SHOULD READ for those with supporting direct reports.

I just finish the audiobook for the third time! I always get something new every time I listen! A great read for long road trips. Chapter 16: Negotiation is what stuck with me this time around as it’s an area of personal growth that I’m working on. This is a great resource for Executive Assistants at all levels of experience.

Jeremy provides an intelligent and holistic guide for administrative professionals looking to "level up" and create more time in their lives and those they support. Perfectly paced and not too time-consuming, this is a logical and well-organized strategic reference guide with external links supporting his solutions and suggestions. In other words, this is a hands-on manual for making improvements right now! I highly recommend it if you feel you cannot 'get ahead' of your long list of responsibilities or feel stagnant and hopeless in your current role, edging toward 'burn-out.' Both the Audio and Kindle versions are valuable resources in my library.

A strategic guide for making positive change, now!
