Well written short story

As the man after the book is over ask I ask what was the point? I'm still not sure if I cared for the story or not? The author's detail and scene he created I was interested in but the end was abrupt and without closure which maaaybe was the point idk... Heard the story now and still don't care...

America's First Horror Story

While the rest of the world have many fairy tales, ghost stories, and legends, The Legend of Sleepy Hallow is America's first ever true nightmarish ghost story told in a classic fashion that still resonates today. This timeless story is not gory nor over the top but a true ghostly legend that can haunt the adolescence and still chills to adults.

A classic story told in a warm voice.

Great recital of a classic story. The only thing missing is a dark stormy night and a warm fire. Truly a pleasure to listen to.

Easy to listen to..

I have seen movies of the legend, but never had it read to me. I think it was well done. Thanks...

Horrible narration

Good story, but the monotone deep voiced narrator made it a real struggle to finish. It was like listening to a computer telling the story with hardly any inflection.

acceptable

wasn't the best story I've ever heard, but was entertaining to listen to. Don't recommend to people new to audibles or even reading. While short, the language structure and words used are for intermediate to advanced readers/listeners.

Narration was hard to follow

Good classic American folk lore, but the narrator's voice was too deep making it hard to follow along. This isn't worth a full credit, but is worth a buck or so if it's on sale.

4 stars for a classic of its time

the narration was serviceable; the story itself seems vaguely commercial in a modern sort of way.
