Publisher's summary

In the treacherous waters off the rugged Sicilian coast, marine archaeologist Jack Howard and his team of scientific experts and ex-Special Forces commandos make a shocking find while searching for the legendary shipwreck of the apostle Paul. And when a second artifact is uncovered in the ruins of a buried city, Jack is on the verge of a discovery that could shake the world to its foundations: the handwritten words of Jesus Christ himself. As he follows a hunch from the dying confession of an emperor to the burial crypt of a medieval pagan queen, Jack is chasing a conspiracy whose web stretches to the highest levels of international power - and he will have to risk everything to stop the controversial document from falling into the hands of a shadowy brotherhood determined to fulfill their murderous vows.

Adventure over Continents

I have read other David Gibbins books and they have all been excellent, this is another excellent adventure across the world, across time, much of the fictional events have some type of true historical basis.

So - So

To much history leading to a dull conclusion. Ending needs more detail & color concerning the findings on the ancient schrolll.

The Lost Tomb

Even though some material was fictional book was very interesting, and kept your interest. I love book you don't want to put down. Wish I was well enough off to explore England.

Another trip to Egypt!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Lost Tomb to be better than the print version?

Never read the print version, so not a valid question for me at least.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It sort of petered out for me. Makes the listener draw their own specific conclusions.

Have you listened to any of James Langton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

JL is one of my current favorite readers, and is impressive in this offering. He is a consumate professional.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I came close actually! It's pretty compelling!

Any additional comments?

Continues the series forward, with consistency and professionalism. Worth the credit if you are into Mr. Howard and all his drama!

Terrible Narration

What was most disappointing about David Gibbins’s story?

Narration. Inappropriate pausing between words, phrases. Done in a "sing-song" style.

Would you be willing to try another one of James Langton’s performances?

No.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment that there is now a catch to returning books. Two every six months. That will definately change my purchasing habits.n
