About this listen

Fighting to survive, Misty Elton takes one look at the man standing in front of her and knows she needs to make a decision - does she want to live? After discovering that her boyfriend is storing enough drugs to supply a small country, she realizes she needs to escape, but he's standing in the doorway - standing in the way of her freedom.

Managing to get past him, she flees and lands in Seattle, where she changes her appearance, her name, her life. She has nothing left - no one she can rely on. But after a year, she begins to feel safe - that is, until a tall, well-dressed man shows up at her job and calls her by her real name. Rushing to the back room, she grabs her taser and hits him with it, thinking she's home free - but she's not. All she's done is tick off Bryson Winchester, and all he's trying to do is to get her scum of an ex off the streets.

Now Misty has a choice to make: is this a man she can trust? Soon enough, she gets that answer and more, but none of them are what she expects....

Love the whole series

Melody Anne - The Lost Tycoon (Baby for the Billionaire Series – Book 5)

Even though I read this book in 2016, I decided to re-read since it so much the first time around. I wasn’t disappointed. This. Is. A. Great. Book!

This book would make a great move. We meet Misty Elton who wants to get away from her “drug selling” boyfriend. When she manages to run away, she is hiding out in Seattle. Misty changes her looks, name and starts a new life.

Seattle is where she meets Bryson Winchester, Billionaire, and Montana. The problem is he knows her name and he wants to help her, but instead, she uses her Taser to getaway. Bryson only wants to help her by getting her ex off the streets.

The book moves fast and we find out that Misty is the lost sister of one other Baby for the Billionaire series (so here is another book you must read because this book will answer some of the questions from book 4, The Tycoon’s Secret).

Find out if Bryson and his other Tycoon friends can save Misty and if she gets her HEA.

A story about abuse and a struggle against evil.

This isn't the Tycoon lavish lifestyle, as per other episodes. This is the day to day struggle for survival, warped by the power hungry cop, Jessie, that uses his uniform to lull women into a safe security because of what the uniform should represent. However, this particular man, shames that uniform, by his sadistic use of his power over people.
Off course we have the good guys, fitting the good fight, as well as a mutual attraction. They make this tale well worth reading or listening to .

Much better than the previous two books!

Overall opinion:
I liked this much better than the last two books by far! My only major gripes are:

1. The State or Government prosecutes a case and the charged use defense attorneys to defend against the charges! Got a kick out of the error! 🤣

2. The H realizes something about the h, quietly finds out if he is correct or not so she does not get her hopes up because she has bad anxiety. Once she finds out, she blows up and acts like an idiot, even though her life will be changed for the better because of it!

3. The h constantly goes nuts over thinking and falling to the negative side, then immediately finds out that all is good. Must be exhausting to be her brain! 😉

Bad guy is evil bad.
Good guy is solid good.
The h is a rabbit who always runs easily.

Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.

Narrator(s) - good

POV: mostly hers

Overall Pace: medium

Instalove: no

H Rating: Solid good

h Rating: Decent - except for her anger about something the H did and kept quiet until he knew the outcome - not the greatest run-away moment.

Sad/happy/thrill/Angst/TSTL - scared to happy to scared to dumb-angry to scared to HEA

Heat Level: 5/10

Descriptive Sex: 5/10

OW/OM Drama: not really

Sex with OW/OM: no

Cheating: no

Separation: slight

Triggers: dangerous ex

Closure (HEA/HFN/Cliffhanger): HEA

Additional Thoughts?

This would have been a 3.5 star book but the author mentioned my favorite author that cemented my love for reading - Dean Koontz!
