Publisher's summary
This is a scientific-based success methodology distilled down into its one easy and effective method. This simple method utilizes your own self-talk to create a more powerful and effective internal dialogue.
The Magic Question might sound too good to be true, but it's based on sound brain science and advanced linguistics. Best of all...it's easy to listen to and filled with fun stories. It has nothing to do with more effort, visualization, or even goal setting but can serve to powerfully enhance any of those things. It's about shifting your mind in the direction of happiness, success, and optimism...using the power of one question a day.
This system will quiet the negative voices that cause you to feel stuck and fearful while profoundly increasing the speed at which you manifest goals and desires. It's so easy that kids can do it.
Bart Baggett, internationally known speaker and thought leader in the fields of NLP and forensic handwriting analysis, explains one of his favorite personal success habits he developed over the past 20 years as a teacher and a person who wanted more. If you are a fan of neurolinguistic programing or other self-help tools, this one technique will enhance and increase the speed at which you see results. It is startlingly effective and so simple to learn that you could teach your children. Best of all...it's even fun to practice!
Start today finding your magic question and see the results yourself!

Award-winning Yale professor Zoe Chance will show you how to rediscover the superpower that brings great ideas to life. Influence doesn’t work the way you think because you don’t think the way you think. Move past common misconceptions—such as the idea that asking for more will make people dislike you—and understand why your go-to negotiation strategies are probably making you less influential.

As he grew old and aware of his dwindling time on this Earth, the Wealthy Gardener began to share his hard-earned wisdom with the financially troubled in his community, patiently mentoring those who asked for his practical advice on the ways of prosperity.

Story
As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat”, we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much.

The law of attraction tells us that whatever we focus our attention on, consciously or not, we attract into our lives. Think happy thoughts, enjoy happy experiences. And vice versa. The best-selling Begin with Yes introduces the law of action, a principle that reverses the order - and is equally powerful: What we do affects how we think and the kinds of experiences we have. When we take small, manageable steps, we feel more positive, and our lives flow more smoothly. Begin with Yes is all about setting things in motion and opening new doors. Getting unstuck.

S.U.M.O. stands for Shut Up, Move On. It's a phrase to say to ourselves (and sometimes others) when we are acting or thinking in a way that is hindering our ability to succeed. It doesn't necessarily mean "get over it" or "pull yourself together" (although there may be occasions when both responses are necessary): "Shut Up" means stop what you're doing, take time out to reflect, let go of baggage and beliefs that hinder your potential; "Move On" means tomorrow can be different from today, look for new possibilities, don't just think about it, take action.

It shows you how to stand out in an increasingly noisy world by simply offering your unique skills and talents and helping others do the same. Motivating - needs book questions
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The audiobook is great and offers a great new way to look at life to get the most out of goals and objectives.
Any additional comments?
Mr. Baggett refers to questions that are available in the printed book which I would like to have available in a pdf as is the case with many other audiobooks.

Good Info
Narrated by the author, His natural speaking cadence is way too fast. Listen would have been better had he intentionally allowed his speech. Really 2.5 stsrs - he repeats himself a lot but every now and then a good point is made. Very so-so.

Ask the magic question—get the magic answer
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it's eye opening and very interesting. I would recommend this to anyone who has tried to use writing affirmations down as a self development tool, but found it to be ineffective in creating the positive change in their lives that they expected.
Any additional comments?
It all starts with asking the right question—the MAGIC question!
You know how they say, if you're looking for something, you'll find it?
Usually referring to a situation where one is skeptical/reluctant about something & will purposefully search for something negative to point out, in order to justify their reluctance. That person will almost always find SOME sort of flaw, if they are indeed looking for one—sometimes even exaggerating the truth to prove their case.
The same concept is discussed in this book, but applied to help oneself search for the good in life, an idea for business, the best way to handle a situation, how to make your beloved smile more... The possibilities are endless!
The trick is to ask a question in the first place in order to stumble upon such new inspirations, fascinating activities, or simply reasons to love life more and smile often!
If you're not looking for such things—though they exist in the world just awaiting your notice—you will never know, say, the freedom of being out of debt simply because you never asked yourself how in the world that might be possible for you to achieve.
On the other hand, just as someone might look for a flaw in something, and their brain works overtime to create some reason not to like it, even if it's a stretch.. Your brain can be harnessed in a positive & productive manner to work overtime, using stretches of your imagination, in order to come up with new ideas—perhaps, THE IDEA—as an answer to a question you asked yourself, that ends up changing your life!
Yes, you may find that you come up with some crazy solutions to the puzzles you proposition yourself... But they may be crazy enough that they just might work!
I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone—especially those who may have tried methods such as writing affirmations and encouraging words as a self help tool, and found that they soon became blurred into the unnoticed everyday background of life. This book explains why that happens, and suggests a more effective alternative to written affirmations, but achieves the same intended goal, with even better results!

Pleasantly Surprised
At first listen I was afraid it was going to be more of a law of attraction book. I'm glad I kept listening. It offered useful ways of finding solutions or ideas in order to create something better. The ideas can be implemented right away and make a positive impact. It was concise and a very enjoyable read.

Great Book to Multiply Success & Make You Happier
Would you consider the audio edition of The Magic Question to be better than the print version?
Hmm, I only have the Audible version. It's allowed me to listen while I drive (and while I'm doing mindless-work). I love it! It's motivating me and moving me forward; planting new and useful questions in most-everything that I do.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I'm my favorite character because Bart has made me the starring character of my life (and will do the same for you). Bart- the narrator and author- is my second-favorite character!
What does Bart A Baggett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
You can listen and "read" the book while doing other stuff. You can get both motivated and get some good brain-storming done while driving to meetings, work etc.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Magic Question?
There are far-better (more-fun, more-effective and happier) ways to approach my business and personal life through questions, and it's helping to turn my life around.
Any additional comments?
Surprisingly- This is the "Magic Book" that is helping to turn my life around. The premise of the book- that there's a "magic question" that helps you to get what you want in half the time- seems simplistic and overstating in its power. However, from my experience with the book, it's doing that and then far more than that. It's helping me to get "unstuck" in couple of areas in my life (both professional and personal).
My life is pretty good overall, but was a little sluggish in some areas.
Remember how it feels when you first get a new computer (once it's fully set up)- how FAST, EFFICIENT and EASY everything seems? Due to a faster processor, a more-effective operating system and new-spangled software, you can now do stuff at twice the speed as before, and, can do stuff you never knew you could do with your new computer... THAT is the way I feel as I'm reading through and applying what Bart suggests to my life and business. By my second read-through (I anticipate more), my days feel better and more-hopeful; my business is moving forward and an area in my personal life that seemed a little grim now feels hopeful and exciting.
I highly recommend that anybody and everybody read this book!
Thanks Bart!
