Destiny. I’ve been hearing that word a lot lately, and my opinion on the whole thing hasn’t mattered one bit. No, the stars have their plans and I’ve been consulted about it a whopping zero times. Finally. I finally had all of my mates together. Yeah, that lasted an impressive two seconds and now one of them is gone. Does he want to be found? Or did he run?On top of that, I have two siblings who have no idea I exist. My traitorous mother is on the run, Asrael is making moves, King Thane is making his presence known, and I’m seeing things again. Things that I shouldn’t...terrifying things.
Tensions are building toward an epic explosion. I can feel it in my bones. Fate has its own ideas, and I can only hope defeating our enemies is on the agenda. Failure means one thing in this battle. Death.

I thought the story did a fabulous job teeing it up for the big battle/showdown in book 5. I loved the relationships building for Saige and her men, but also with the more side characters (for her grandmother, best friend, etc.). I felt so many emotions for Sloane, he had so many things happen to him, and he fought for his family and loves and came out ok (at least most of the time). My heart exploded with happiness and couldn't stop laughing with Brahm and Faris (seeing their steam and relationship grow and peak) and I loved that Sloane and Faris duked it out. I don't want to give too much away, but we finally get some resolution on things (and I loved the twist with Bets, I guessed it early on one of the side characters wasn't what he seemed hahaha, I didn't expect that though). I loved seeing Kohl and his love (how he was strong and there for her while they tried to find Annie). AND the best part for me was the info from the wise dragon and then how the guys took it haha. I couldn't stop laughing and cried from happiness.
The author did an amazing job creating this family and really making us fall in love with them and their polyamory. And on top of that, the friendship and family ties that has been through the ringer but they continue to keep being there for each other, fighting for each other, calling each other out on their cr@p. Favorite book of the series hands down. Loved every second of it, but if I had to wait for the cliffhanger I would have chucked my kindle so hard at the wall haha. Highly recommend this series and cannot wait to get my hands on these in paperback!
In terms of the narration, sometimes Bridget and Jake when they do the opposite sex narration are not the strongest. I think Jake can make the females sound a bit whiny in my opinion. I still really enjoyed their performances, but it was more a 4-4.5 stars for me in this one. I thought the ache and pain Sloane went through was done amazingly and the sadness and tenacity the characters exuded to rescue him and Annie was fab. The best part was the tension and fighting between Faris and Sloane, and the adorableness and heated moments with Brahm and Faris ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow, what a cliffhanger!

There is a nice surprise for the family unit but the cliff hanger has me in pain. I'll be starting the next book immediately because I just can't not know what's going on. This family needs a HEA.
I will be sad for this series to end and have to wonder if there will be a book six.
THE BEST SERIES

The guys really start opening up to each other in this book. Saige is the perfect facilitator for that. There are issues that need to be worked out and great progress is made. There is a HUGE surprise in this book and an even BIGGER cliffhanger!
As always Britt puts little nuggets of giggle material in her stories.
Absolutely worth the credit!
