About this listen

Confronting my family’s nemesis wasn’t on my to-do list. Neither was falling for him.

After my difficult divorce, I thought my life was over. But now, I’m happier and more successful than I could’ve ever imagined. My cosmetics business is thriving and I’m almost ready to get back out there and find Mr. Right. Almost.

When I hear that a therapy ranch on the Bayou is seeking an investor, I jump at the opportunity. I know only too well that spending time with animals is healing.

When I visit the owners to ask for details, I find out I’m not the only one interested. Zachary LeBlanc is also there to make an offer. Why is that a problem? His family ruined my family’s reputation. He immediately tries to discredit me in front of the owners. Needless to say, I’m ready to give Zachary LeBlanc a piece of my mind.

Days later, I spot Zachary in the French Quarter, at the edge of the Mississippi River. As I hurry over to give it to him good, the unthinkable happens and I fall into the river! I’m certain I’ll drown, but he somehow pulls me out. That’s when I see an entirely new side to this man — though maybe I’m still in shock from the trauma. Zachary is kind and patient, but before long, we’re back to arguing again.
And that’s when he kisses me! After he pulls back, I wonder if his intention was to shut me up, or if he’s truly attracted to me.

One thing I know for sure; I've met my match in Zachary Leblanc. Because I'm not going down without a fight, and neither is he.

There are so many reasons why we can’t be together. So why am I ignoring all of them?

A battle of hearts beats a battle of wills any day. From the heat of romance to the drama of falling in love, The Match is an explosion of heart tingles. Hagen turns adorably, clueless into hauntingly, irresistible. Zach and Grace are an addiction that the soul can't walk away from.

Mallon and Fox shine. Zach and Grace already sparkle, but Erin Mallon and Christian Fox amplify their glow with a passion. From fiery delivery to endearing sprinkles of humor, Hagen and company light up the canvas.

An explosion of heart tingles.

Finally, a fmc that isn’t a total doormat! After reading a few books with extremely frustrating fmc characters, this was a breathe of fresh air! Thanks for the great read.
The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life!

Right out of the starting gate, my heart hurt for the heroine of this story. I did feel like there was more to her horrible ex than what was revealed, but I LOVED the way she stood up to him. And Zachary let her without interruption. Layla Hagen keeps me on my toes in all of her books.

Great story!

I really loved this book. I finished it within a day, I couldn’t stop listening.
Zachary & Grace both want to help fund a horse farm that helps children and Veterans. But, Zachary is not sure about Grace since her brothers did some dirty dealings in town and it was his brother who found them out.
What Zachary doesn’t know is that besides Grace’s brother troubled brothers she was always married to a real jerk and is afraid to trust in every way with a men.
When Zachary saves Grace after falling into the Mississippi River, she finds a little bit overtime that she can’t trust people, especially Zachary.
I just have to mention I absolutely love LeBlanc’s grandmother’s. They are so funny.

Loved this one! Cute and sweet but also spicy! Layla Hagen is great with this type of book! I love the writing and the characters, and the dialog is always very believable. You always feel like you’re right there in the story. This one takes place in NOLA and it’s always a good time there with those folks, and this story is no exception. The narrators are outstanding as always and really add to the overall enjoyment of the story. This is just a really great series!

Very sweet and sexy too!

Zachary and Grace start out as enemies but chemistry changes that. They both want a horse ranch but Grace had trust issues from her ex-husband. Can Zachary overcome them and show her how much he admires her business abilities? Erin Mallon and Christian Fox bring the book to life.

An adorably sweet, heartfelt and fun romance. Zachary and Grace had a little bit of a rocky start but developed a deep bond that led them to so much more than either of them expected. I adored this story.

Boy meets girl. Boy hates girl. Boy falls for girl. That’s not so original but the way it all happens is fun and playful. I enjoyed this read. Very explicit sex scenes-warning.

Fun storyline

I am very particular about narrators. Generally I love Christian Fox but his female voices are really bad in this book. Same with Erin doing male voices. I’m really tired of men doing poor female voices and women doing fake male voices. Duet narration is the way to go. Story was simple and very predictable.
