Good Story about a sad subject. Scudder is a good guy. Block does a good job telling it.

*** It's a good story ***

I enjoyed this Matthew Scudder story about a woman/angel who helps people who want to die., it was short but a good listen. I completely enjoyed it. LB did a good job narrating his own story

Would you consider the audio edition of The Merciful Angel of Death to be better than the print version?

no, but i'll listen to any scudder book or story, even those read by the master himself, lawrence block....

Who was your favorite character and why?

block's reading makes this almost impossible to answer...see below

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lawrence Block?

prefer hammer and barrett....
foster and sklar ae secondaries
block's reading is too flat...doesn't differentiate characters clearly

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

no

block writes far better than he reads

A quick listen about a woman that helps those in hospice cross to the other side.

I enjoy a lot of Lawrence Block stories but this one I did not. No desire to finish reading it.

No thanks

Nothing to rave about in this story. It's all unpleasant
It is also poorly narrated. You would think that the author
would bring some enthusiasm to telling his own story.
He should listen to how his other works are narrated. It
really makes a difference.
