1st class entertainment

The Money Trail: The Sean Kruger Series, Book 5. I've read or listened to all the series, and this is of the same high standard.
The author and narrator make a great team bringing an excellent book to life.
It has everything you can want in a book, some action, technical details, cunning, dogged investigator and his team, and bad guys both thugs and the corrupt people in positions of power.
Fast paced and gripping the end comes to soon!
Guess I'll just have to wait for the next investigation of Sean's team.
I was given a free copy of this audio book at my own request, and voluntarily leave this review.

Fast paced thriller

Sean Kruger is back at it again as an FBI profiler, with all his friends from his previous adventures.
When the murder of a lawyer and reporter brings up the name of the Vice President, Sean gets involved in the investigation. When all of it gets personal and involves his family, the chase is on to trap who is behind it with the help of his friends.
This is a smart, well written, fast-moving thriller. Both the plot and the characters are well developed.
Paul J. McSorley has become the voice of Sean. He does a very nice job narrating this story.

Excited for the next

Another great book by J.C Fields, and narration by Paul McSorley. J.C did a great job with this story in keeping it captivating and making me want to continue listening to the very end. This is another great installment in this series and I honestly can’t wait for the next.

Wish this was how our government really worked

As always, the author and narrator make a great team! Sean and friends are at it again and it got personal again. Wish politics were as easy as in fiction. Can’t wait for the next in the series.

Another great Kruger story

This book is great follow up to the cold trail. The search is on for criminals in government. Shawn Kruger and team hunt down a Russian connection to a murdered lawyer and journalist who knew a little too much. I love how protective Kruger and co become while searching for deadly criminals trying to change the way government operates. The fact that a president would be so involved with the FBI was a bit unlivable even if they were friends first. As always J.C. Fields delivers an exciting book that I couldn't stop listening to. I look forward to the next installment. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Art Imitates Life

I'd no sooner finished this entertaining book when the news broke of a retired FBI agent's arrest for aiding Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska. This Russian Oligarch has employed a small army of lobbyists, lawyers, consultants and fixers to protect his business and personal interests, including the FBI Agent in charge of such investigations in the FBI's NY Division. If you think Mr. FIelds' novels are far-fetched, then search the news sites for this recent story. As I read the New York Times, it was amazing how closely Mr. Fields' novel mirrored real life. And this is what makes his books so enjoyable. He has his fingers on the pulse of what is really happening in the world today, particularly in American government and politics. He presents his plot in a well thought out story which keeps the reader on the edge of their seats right up until the end. And, I might add, unlike some other series I have read, the characters have not become stale or, worse, morphed into some caricature of themselves.
