About this listen

Chaos reigns in Alypium. The baby dragons have disappeared. King Piter has lost the trust of his people. Balor and Damon Stain will become the new rulers unless Erec Rex agrees to return and challenge them. Erec can't allow the evil twins to take over. But he knows if he becomes king, the power of the royal scepter could destroy him completely.

As Erec performs the deadly quests he learns more about himself and his past. He discovers that the right path brings many risks and few rewards. When he delves into the very Substance that holds our world together, he must summon all of his strengths just to stay alive. Until Aoquesth, the dragon, gives him the biggest gift of all.

The adventure continues in Kaza Kingsley's riveting sequel to the best-selling The Dragon's Eye. Follow Erec as he faces delicious villains, a harrowing battle, a secret admirer, missing memory shops, angry mobs, reincarnated ancestors, and ultimate sacrifice. The story is a wild ride of danger and thrills, where we , along with Erec, find out who the real monsters are.

Great

Fantastic storyline and characters, although the randomness of the new characters introduced was a little bit odd. This book does a great job pulling on your heartstrings in a very relatable manner great for readers of all ages. Definitely leaves the reader hungry for more.

Very Fun family reading

I really like these books. My 19 year old son has raced through all 3 books this week. He's in the middle of the 3rd one and I can't get my ipod back. They are quite entertaining. Even as adult when certain parts of the plot are quite transparent, it is a great lot of fun to watch it unfold. The character development is interesting and the new characters are really great additions. If you enjoy children's fantasy you won't want to miss this. Great for younger readers as well. My children are between 7 and 22 and I'm in my 50's. We all love Erec Rex!

Great story!

I was so excited to hear the rest of the story from the first novel that I immediatly ran home to download the second. I love the world Kaza creates here. It is so cute and inventive! I hope to see a third novel very soon!
