Great voice actress and story

If you could sum up The Most Beautiful Man in the World in three words, what would they be?

Murder mystery thriller

What did you like best about this story?

I was taken away by Michelle Fords voices for each character! There are characters from different countries and accents and she nailed each one which really helped the story come alive for me. I really enjoyed the characters being from different countries, made it a lot easier just by hearing the accent to figure out which character was talking.

Have you listened to any of Michelle Ford’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't but I would like to hear more! She did so many accents, and voices, I tried to mimic some accents and voices and I just don't come close. I was also looking into doing voice acting but I think I should give up now. I can't do a New Zeland accent or English accent.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

discover the ugly truth

Surprisingly consuming from a man's point of view

What did you like about this audiobook?

I hesitated slightly before diving into this novel, reading the story of the most beautiful man, a story about a man there can only ever be one of. The novel surprised me as it's more about the man himself. How a man, the subject of some intense attention, power, and temptation, can use and abuse it (and the considerable wake it can leave). A perspective few men know, and I can't say I've been exposed to in the past. Definitely a story told from a fresh perspective like none you've probably heard.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

Towards the beginning of the book, a striking passage about a character loosing a chance with some last moments with a close family member while chasing that family member's prior love.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

I really enjoyed Michelle's subtle accents and soft tones they helped bring the dialog to life in ways only the better narrators are able to.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

I did laugh quite a bit at the descriptions of social interactions in different parts of the world. It's great to get that local flavor that seems so authentic. It brought back fun feeling of my travels abroad, which can be rare.
