About this listen

An unexpected desire

Conan McTiernay will leave the joys of wedlock to his happily married brothers. He's too busy mapping out Scotland to protect her borders from English invasion...until he's dispatched to escort a cloistered Highland lass safely back to his family's castle.

A forever love

Mhàiri Mayboill has embarked on her journey facing an impossible choice: Marry or take the vows of a nun. But she cherishes her freedom too much to be tied to any man. Yet this arrogant Highlander with his spirited ways and piercing eyes awakens more than desire. For two people who want nothing of love but have everything in common, emotions soon forge an unforeseen bond. But happiness is never simple for a McTiernay, and more surprises lie ahead....

Contains mature themes.

Did not care for the ending. Not understanding why Conner and laurel would have another baby just for him to get killed off. is there going to be another book?

I love the storyline of the McTierney brothers. At first didnt care for narrator but she is perfect for these books.

So many people getting happiness! Can hardly wait for Clyde's story. I found the epilogue to be a little unrealistic that there were not alert guards stationed around. Praying that C doesn't die of his wound!

Perfect mix for book 7 in a series, wanted and new. Delivered the elements we love in another fresh tale.

Perfect for book 7

This family is full of strong women. Especially for the time. Along with strong men in kilts, who are honorable. Many books in this genre are full of graphic abuse of women, this series is not. Which makes it a stand out series for me. Laughter & a few tears. Don’t want it to end.

Love the McTierney’s

Terrible ending so very disappointed to have built up a whole story just to kill it off at the end of The book.

Super disappointing ending, waste of a wonderful story
