Post-war life in the large British manor of Tremontaine is normally quiet, especially for assistant cook Ellie Stone. As with every Gold story, the narrative is rich and exciting and I do recommend listening to this book. My only criticism is that the editing of the narration is too fast. There is almost no gap between sentences, so it is a little hard to follow what is going on. However, this is made up for by how amazing Huskyteer's narration is. She has a perfect voice for this kind of story; I dare say the audiobook is worth getting just for her voice alone.
