Sweet Small Town Romance

This is the first book in the Oak Creek Series, a next door and opposites attract romance. I love small town romance! Hunter and Abigail's story is sweet, fun, sexy and romantic. They are both great and sweet characters. Liz Lovegood has a voice easy to understand, and she did a good job with the narration. #audiofreebies

Confluence

Such a fun listen. Being a genius it is hard to understand emotions and meanings behind a person’s actions. That could lead to very difficult times, but when you meet the right person everything works out perfectly. I enjoyed listening to this book and finding a new author to look for.

Good story, narration took some getting used to

I enjoyed the book overall, but I had to cringe whenever the narrator tried to do a male voice. I eventually got over it, but it took a few chapters.

sweet and different

Abigail isnrunning from her life in GreenWood. Her boyfriend is abusive and her family doesn't understand her. When she meets the nice people in Oak Creek she feels that she has found her place in live, even with Hunter Crawford, an scientific with a personality different from anybody Abigail has ever met. Sweet and funny love story

Disappointed

The storyline is good, as a read, but the narration was left to be desired. Hunter and Abigail both had less than stellar relationships, the connection between the two was not the best in the connecting of the couple. Hunter with his quirkiness was cute when he was trying, and would be considered a good book boyfriend. Since I have read this series and I enjoyed them I'm curious as to how the other Narrator will do.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 A Sweet & Spicy🔥Delight!

I thoroughly enjoyed this fabulous book, it is well written and well told. The story is interesting and original and it captivated my attention from start to end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to, even those who were on the quirky side. Hunter Crawford, a brilliant scientist who lacks social skills. When he returned home from a mission in space he came back to no wife and no job so he moved back to Oak Creek, his home town, his mother convinces him to teach biology classes at the college. Abigail Baker fled leaving her family and abusive boyfriend behind, she was not happy with her life and courageously set out to start a new one. She responds to a job ad and lands a job in a small college town, Oak Creek working in the college for Rose Mitchell. Rose is super friendly and quirky, she is also helpful in getting Abigail a place to stay and then live. The hometown setting is cute, everyone is friendly and knows each other. Rose’s friends are just as quirky as she is, LOL. Turns out Abigail is Hunter’s new apartment is in Hunter’s new duplex. I loved these two together, they were great for each other, she handled is social awkwardness with patience and she started to draw him out of his shell. She is not interested in getting involved with someone again but they can only fight chemistry for so long. I love how everything plays out in this book, the story is plotted out nicely and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, lots of quirk and humor, some heartfelt moments and some hot romance. Lainey Davis, thank you for this fabulous story, I am looking to the next book in the series, Diana Crawford’s story, I hope it comes to audio soon.

Liz Lovegood is a terrific narrator and voice artist. She did a great job portraying the characters and bringing them to life. You could hear how much heart she put in to her work as she captured the characters emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

The story was nice

This was definitely a mix of the usual scientific standpoint and the everyday usual situations. Nerd meets extrovert. It was a most amusing. I got a little bit disappointed with the narrator though.

Endearing, sweet, steamy story!!!

Confluence, an Audiobook by Lainey Davis was an just the BEST, BEST story ever!!! It follows the budding romance of Hunter and Abigail. He’s the sexy, hot, oblivious, science nerd. She’s running from a bad relationship and to find her own way. They meet up in Oak Creek and a romance slowly blossoms!!! This touching, intense story was such an emotional, loving journey that I nearly cried!!!! He’s so oddly sweet and awkward, she could be just what he needs??

Incredibly entertaining story with believable, likable, genuine characters!!! Very well written.

The narrator, Liz Lovegood did a great job of allowing you to ‘feel’ the characters and ‘voiced’ them appropriately. A few mispronunciations…but, overall very good!!!

I voluntarily received an Advance Copy of this Audiobook for an honest review.

Quirky fun story!

I received this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Let my first start out by saying I thought that the narrator was going to ruin this book for me. But when I adjusted the speed up one notch, it really improved my listening pleasure. This was such a heartwarming and funny story to listen to. Hunter is a scientific nerd that really lack social skills. Abigail is an out going, patient young woman. I love how the author develops these characters on their quest for love. There is also a supportive group of family and friends and also a couple of chickens. There will be a few twists and turns in the relationship. The narrator did a good job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. I highly recommend this Audible book. It will have you laughing, shaking your head, and cheering these two on. The author gives such enlightening insight into the characters.

Good story

The story was really good but you need to listen to the narrator before you buy it. She needs to work on her male voice a bit more for my taste.
