About this listen

Lily Wong - a Chinese-Norwegian modern-day ninja - has more trouble than she was bargaining for when controlling grandparents arrive in Los Angeles from Hong Kong at the same time she goes undercover in the dangerous world of sex trafficking in this second book in the Lily Wong series.

As she hunts for a missing high school girl, a kidnapped prostitute, and a sociopathic pimp, the surviving members of a murderous street gang hunt for her. Life would be easier if Lily knew who to trust. But when victims are villains, villains are victims, and even family is plotting against her, easy is not an option. All Lily can do is follow the trail wherever it leads: through a high school campus polarized by racial tension, the secret back rooms of a barber/tattoo/brothel, or the soul-crushing stretch of Long Beach Boulevard known as the Blade.

She relies on her ninja skills to deceive and infiltrate, rescue and kill - whatever is necessary to free the girls from their literal and figurative slavery. If only those same skills could keep Lily’s conniving grandparents from hijacking her future.

If you liked the first you will absolutely LOVE the second. It’s grittier but uplifting and the ending was so so cute!

Couldn’t stop listening

Like her previous in her novel the author does a great job of telling a very engaging story from the viewpoint of a fascinating character. I loved the ninja lore interspersed throughout. The reading performance was top notch. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Loved it.

Lily Wong does it again! This sequel does NOT disappoint!!! What a perfect follow up to The Ninja Daughter. From the opening moments I was on the edge of my seat, and Tori Eldridge’s well researched writing paints such a vivid picture, I can easily see this as a movie! Dealing with such an important topic as sex trafficking and still making the book exciting, tender, and relatable, I definitely will be recommending it. Can’t wait to read the next one!!!

Lily Wong is my hero!!!

Very good, even better than the first book, which was good.
Looking forward to listening to the next one in the series.
Thanks Tori.

Ok now I’m really hooked on Lily Wong. This young ninja crusader for good is someone I either want to be, or want on my good side. Interesting and engaging characters and so much suspense. I highly recommend!!

Fantastic Follow Up!

A great follow up to the first story. This one was a little harder to read - I typically aim for HEA, and sex trafficking is unlikely to end that way. The story was worth it, and I do appreciate the author taking on tougher issues. I enjoy that Lily is is a flawed character, leaving plenty of room for growth as the series continues. She does her best to do what’s right, but could use a little more “think it through” time.

Great ride! Can’t wait to start #3
