I struggled with this heroine. She’s a 30 something romance author that acts like she’s a Virgin and never seen a naked man before...let alone speak to one.
Out of nowhere she meets hot as hell hero romance author that every woman everywhere is pining for. One stumble into him and he’s head over heels in love with her and will do anything to get her.

The story just comes off really unbelievable and I’m just totally off put but the heroines inner dialogue. I was really hoping to love this story as it’s two romance authors in different genres that come together to write a romance but I just couldn’t get behind this heroine at all.

Such a Great Story!! Some funny, with a splash of sexy, bit of cute, ending with a HEA! Really what more could you ask for.🤷‍♀️
I so would recommend this book to others and I so will be looking for more books by Heather Guimond.
I also found a new Narrator that I’ll be looking for in future books as well!

Stacy is a sweet, naive romance writer and Gage is a sexy, erotic romance writer who meet at a book convention. You will want to listen to what happens next! This was a great book with an awesome narrator.

The Novel Approach is an adorable story about two very different romance authors. Stacy writes "sweet romance"-off page sex and steam. She runs into a hunk of a man at the airport on the way to a romance authors' convention and he turns out to be another author. Gage is one of the top erotica authors! And all this takes place in London to boot!

I love the opposites attract trope because I think it allows the characters to each bring something vital to the relationship. Gage is well versed in sex, but he was a manwhore. Stacy's sweetness and innate vulnerability allows her to be a good balance for Gage. She finally gets to experience the things she has always wondered about with Gage. The chemistry is there between these two but that doesn't mean the journey is smooth! I will say that I have always struggled with man whore characters and Gage is no different. I never completely warmed up to him as a hero because of that. Everyone has a past and all, but it felt like because Gage was a man and wrote erotica, it was somehow acceptable that he'd been with LOTS of women.

Stacy has another author in her genre that she quite dislikes. Oddly, these two sort of bond in a strange way and perhaps forge a new understanding of each other. It was nice to see women repairing their relationship instead of continuing to be catty and vapid. There were some parts of the plot of The Novel Approach that I thought were a bit underdeveloped. There is a LOT going on-you have all the crazy fans there to meet their favorite authors, an assistant that is a bit overbearing, and a crazy stalker.  All of this is great, but I think when there are so many things happening, either the book has to be 500 pages to really flesh everything out, or some things sort of just get resolved in a way that is less than satisfying.

Heather Firth is a new to me narrator and I thought she did a great job! Her performance was enjoyable and her "male voice" was good (I can't handle narrators who try to do the voice of the opposite gender and its bad-it totally pulls me out of the story). She performed The Novel Approach very well and I would certainly listen to her again!

What happens when the sweetheart of romance meets the sexy, erotic romance writer at a book convention? A lot of chemistry! This is a fun book to listen to. Stacy Saunders writes what she knows is sweet, contemporary, romance novels. Gage Blackstone writes his sexy , erotic novels. He has his following of adoring females, that cant wait to get to him. Add in lust, sex and a mystery stalker, makes an interesting story.
Heather Firth is amazing, narrating this story. She kept me captivated and gave each character their own voice and oersonality. 🎧audiobookobsessionrview🎧

This is my first book by Heather Guimond. Sometimes I'm hesitant about trying authors I've never heard of before, but I was glad I tried her out. This was a cute, fast moving story. There is a little bit of a mystery which was interesting. The author did a good job of keeping you on your toes about "who did it". This is a good girl/bad boy story with a different kind of meet cute. I did like the premise that they are both romance authors. If you are looking for something new then it's worth checking out.

It was a don't judge the book by the cover romance, our heroine had some funny inner monologue chastations that had me giggling and corny, sweet moments our Hero romanced her with held swooning as they bloomed what no one in their world had expected HEA guaranteed, and yet there was a twist, the only true conflict came from the least expected side character.
